If you get a /vaginahighfive from a toon named Grace, you should probably be able to identify the Vaultie after a few guesses.

So, I've never heard of this mouse.... and now I have... and now I want one... but I have no money...

I've had a Naga.  The buttons at the rear are difficult to press comfortably, and it's far too easy to accidentally hit the wrong button because there is no tactile difference between them.

This is why I prefer my Logitech G700.
Four on the thumb, which all feel different so I immediately know exactly which one my thumb is on.
Three on the forefinger (totaling seven), again all feel different.
Three on the wheel (left, right & click, totaling ten), all able to be mapped.
Two behind the wheel (totaling twelve).  These are mappable, but I prefer not to. I leave those as the stock free wheel toggle and profile controls.  Free wheel toggle I leave because even if you map it it will still toggle the free wheel, and I DESPISE a free wheel, and profile controls I leave because I don't want to open the software to swap profiles.
I have one general profile for surfing: Forward, back, page up, page down, copy, paste, volume controls, etc.
I have three different gaming profiles, depending on the game.
I have a media profile: Play, pause, forward, back, fast forward, volume controls, etc.

Also, it's wired and wireless.  It works perfectly fine as a wireless mouse, and it charges from a USB.  It can be charged during use.  So if you use it wireless, but your battery is running low, you can just plug it in and continue playing/surfing.
Seriously, it's the best mouse I have ever owned, hands down.  And again, I have owned a Naga.  This is far better IMO.  And this one has lasted me a little over three years so far, and it's still going strong with zero issues.  It is, in my opinion, the perfect mouse.

Thanks jerk  Tongue

Seriously though, that is a crazy mouse and I need to go see one in person. Thanks!

I have had a naga for about a year now, and love it.  I had to get my wife one because she kept on threatening to steal mine.  Now we both have them and love them a lot.  They keep up well so far, no problems whatsoever.

Hey Cale, fuck you!

I love my G500 and the amount of buttons is pretty much perfect for me and as you say, easy to press as the tactile feel is much better than the Razor mouses. I have a thick thumb and the Naga just feels awkward for me.

Fuck you because now I might upgrade to a G700 earlier rather than later. How is the responsiveness? Feels like a wired mouse or is there a slight disconnect in how the cursor tracks?

Fuck you very much as well, good sir.
I usually use it wireless for general use, and wired for gaming, but I have used it wirelessly for gaming fairly often (meaning I forgot to plug it in before playing).  When wired it doesn't just feel like a wired mouse, it IS a wired mouse.  When wireless the responsiveness is still fantastic.  My brain won't let me say that you can't tell the difference, but I have never *noticed* a difference.  I've never had an issue with responsiveness, at all, ever.
You know the Logitech universal receiver?  The AWESOME universal receiver?  Well, it doesn't even recognize this mouse, because they want zero interference for it.

Oh yeah, and it has up to five DPI settings, which you can map one of the buttons to scroll through if you want to.

And if you're thinking of upgrading, it's only $68.32 right now on Amazon.

Thanks.

Trying to sort out constant BSOD's and just replaced my 6850 with a 7950...now it may be my Asus Xonar DX conflicting...argh. So painful. Lucky I can test shit from work until it is sorted.

I also miss haste and the in-town movement speed pendant!

Same here. Had a G5 that I loved, but the G700 is better for MMORPG I think. I don't use it wireless, though - I keep it plugged in full time.

Out of curiosity, have you ever used a multi-function mouse that you liked more?
I know there are people that claim this mouse has flaws, but I fail to see any of them unless you count having to replace the rechargeable battery every once in a while a flaw (which, if you use it wireless, should be expected rather than considered a flaw).

On that note, I guess I should amend my previous statement.
I've never had any issues with responsiveness *unless* the rechargeable needed replacing.  When it needs replacing you'll notice a little sluggishness and/or jumpy movement.  And when that happened (twice now in three years) keeping it plugged in full time until the replacement went in solved the problem completely.  Once the replacement was in it went back to what I consider to be amazing wireless responsiveness.
So I guess I should have said that I've never had any issues with responsiveness that were unexpected or not solved by plugging it in for a variable period of time.

edit:
And in case anyone cares (which I doubt) I also use a Logitech wireless solar keyboard.  Since it's only used for movement and a few UI hotkeys, the tiny amount of lag in responsiveness is acceptable.  Dodge is always mapped to wheel-right on the G700 so no loss in reaction time for that.  Just a few milliseconds for movement and jumping, which I never even notice.
I absolutely love having a wireless keyboard that never needs "charging" or battery changes.  Once every few months I simply leave it under a lamp for the day while I go to work (and I only have to do that because I like to keep it dim to dark in my living room).  It's amazing.

Yes.  Pretty cool, and now I really have a great deal of appreciation for the work that went into the couple of foundry quests I've tried.  It's cool, but you aren't going to make something awesome without a fuck-ton of work going into it.

Oh, I managed to kill my test character even though I didn't have anything but a couple of empty rooms.  Apparently if your test character is in one room, then you delete it, if you go back into test mode you fall to your death.  It sort of reminds me of floating on kobolds, then going splat when you clear out enough space to drop to the ground.

Aqualung on Dragon - Guardian Fighter - Human.

Got my net back and downloaded it yesterday. Level 5 already just from about an hour of screwing around this morning.

My 2 biggest complaints are HUD/UI and FPS movement. I hate that I can't take a step or two back to reposition myself, they make you actually turn around in combat. I will play around with HUD/UI and maybe I will get it to something I can live with.

I think they are purposefully doing things like no moving in inventory and stop movement combat to keep the feel of the table top RGP.

It's ok, not a great game. It has potential. I may end up playing around with quest building if the tools are good and there is enough variety to build with.

You get all the content (including pvp and endgame), all classes, all the races (except drow, but they will be free aswell 20 days after official launch or something like that).

You don't get respecs (respec tokens cost $), full inventory space (you get 3/5 bags by questing, last two are $), and you'll have to make peace with having mounts and companions that don't look cool Cheesy

I'm almost geared enough for T2 epic dungeons (there's only one dungeon above T2, so soon I'll be able to run almost anything) and I've spent 0 bucks. My playing habits are a bit extreme tho Cheesy

Hm? If you're in combat WASD makes you strafe around the target, not turn around, are you sure you were actually in combat? Huh

Maybe it's different on melees tho, I've mostly played a CW

I played up to level 6 and probably won't play more unless forced to. I got bored super fast, and the mouse look and movement is beyond annoying for me. Plus I had lag issues in it too, so if I'm going to deal with lag anyway, I'll play DDO.

There's less lag in DDO when you're being carried in someone's backpack.

In the Crown quest where there are groups of 4 or more mobs, they try to surround you. I would hit S to back up a step or 2 and I would turn around completely and start moving away.

This game is awesome. I may be renaming this site soon.

Regarding mouselook: I switched from using alt to using 't' so it aligns with what I'm used to with DDO. Also, while it doesn't solve all of the concerns, you can auto-run in non-mouse-look mode, you just can't turn or jump.

I thought the combat system would be horrible for healing. I couldn't have been more wrong. It ROCKS for healing. I am no longer a slave watching health bars.

Did a foundry quest with some friends last night, was an hour and a half long and FUCKING AWESOME. The foundry is really well implemented. It will give life to the game even if (company-based) development dries up.

@strakelnoskar, on Mindflayer server.

I was going to offer up that option as the primary reason, but figured you'd be able to come up with it yourself...I'm ok with the assist.
