Has anyone tested an EE viable unarmed build?  I have not, but I'm thinking of something like this:

16 Monk: 3[1d6] fists, Stunning Fist, Improved Evasion, Abundant Step, bypass all metal DR
2 Fighter: Haste Boost, +3 Tactics, +3 Action Boosts, 2 feats
2 Paladin: Divine Grace, Divine Might.

Shintao (34)
Ninja Spy (11): Shadow Veil
KotC (11): 2min Divine Might
Kensei (18?): Haste Boost, Tactics, Extra Action Boost, +2 hit/dmg [unsure about AP cost]
Racial (6)

ED: Legendary Dreadnought for +50% helpless damage, Improved PA.
Twists: Sense Weakness, A Dance with Flowers, Rejuv Cocoon

Gear: Antipode with Ruby of Devotion slotted.

Unarmed damage:
3.0[W] (16 Monk) + 1.0[W] (Improved Martial Arts) + 0.5[W] (Reinforced Fists) + 1.5[W] (A Dance with Flowers) + 0.5[W] (Improved Power Attack) = 6.5[W].  W=1d8 tier5 Shintao.

29 average base damage
05 Dream Visor
04 Planar Conflux
08 Enhancement
02 Kensei
05 Power Attack
22 STR bonus (=54 STR)

Splits look good. Make it a WF or Dwarf with a high (48+) WIS and you should be around 75 for Stunning Fist DC.

Of all the toons I have I think my 3rd life 20 Shintao Monk will require the least amount of change/thought when U19 hits.
He (Xhiron) may actually may be a bit better survivability wise due to the access to more than one "tree" Helllooooo Incorporeality Smiley

The only issue will be AP due to the dreadful implementation of the Helf Dille line.  <3 the versatility from Cleric Dille (although I roll 1s 75% of the time using 95% heal scrolls go figure....)

I have a sinking suspicion that figuring out builds after the pass will require a TR and fresh start for lots of people.

The Lesser Heart +20 is a nice gesture but we have years of experience playing and perfecting aspects of our builds for both leveling and subjective endgame.   Experience that came from rebuilding/leveling from 1.  This change is HUGE and to try and make a capped "complete" toon fit the new system seems beyond the capability of a LR+20 to fullfill.

Anything unarmed with a reliable Stunning Fist DC, Sense Weakness and a healthy amount of sneak attack dice is going to put out numbers out of this world.

The 18 Rogue/2 Monk I have on live is absolutely insane. Running in SD with 68 Stunning Fist DC. Currently trying to adapt him to U19, but so far it looks like it will be just as good, if not better.

I was thinking in this direction too.  Though not sure I would push out monk beyond 12. 

However, didn't they nerf fatal harrier down to 8 seconds and make it a beast stance?  Mind, I only have hearsay and innuendo to go on as I haven't seen behind the NDA curtain.

I'm going to continue to run around with my 12/6/2 monk/ranger/arty.

No mercy is currently stacking with fury.

stun stun stun punch punch punch trap trap trap pew pew pew etc

Not the highest DPS but lets me cover a lot more roles.

I've settled on 16/2/2  (monk/fighter/druid)

I'm picking up t5 ninja spy. With only touch of despair / touch of death counting as dark attacks (excluding the henshin ability) I want to have access to both to spam my aoe neg level asap.

On live I'm a half elf fighter dilly for a 71stunning fist dc, come u19 I'll switch to rogue.

Thanks for pointing that out.  Talk about shitty design.  If Divine Might can't be used until Paladin level 4, then it should be a tier 4 enhancement.  Looks like 2 Druid is the best option instead.

As of Open Beta: Druid Nature's Warrior Double Strike Action Boost now has charges like other boosts, and it shares a cool down with other Action Boosts. It's no longer unlimited uses, and can no longer be stacked with Haste Boost. Too bad Turbine didn't actually fix the bug with it not activating Human Action Surge.

At level 28, it can be +1 level up and 14 from half character level.  You can also gain +2 from the ED Tactics feat at level 26 or 28.

You also had an alchemical bonus listed.  Assuming you aren't using potions, isn't Antipode better for the 15 PRR and +4 hit/dmg?

With Quivering Palm now benefiting from Sunder, including the Improved Sunder feat for +4 DC with QP is a no brainer.

EDIT: Fixed some calcs in the 16 Monk/2 Fighter/2 Druid to reflect new changes in the open beta.

Fitting in a +10 Sunder item along with the +10 Stunning item is going to be a real bitch though...hang on...Epic Chimera's Fang has +10 Sunder on it right?

So, does One With The Blade make any weapon a "Monk" weapon (would allow QP to work) or does it only make the Monk "centered"?

If it makes any weapon a Monk weapon, I could see a human with the Sentinel Dragonmarks using Epic Chimera's Fang in one hand and Nightmare in the other. I think an 8Ftr/6Monk/6Rngr build would be ideal for this!

Funny how you got the Shatter wrong on Chimera's Fang, and seem to think that Stunning Fist works with non-unarmed.
