you're doing it wrong if you don't include von 3.

Yeah, thought of that one after I posted.  Ran it only once so far so don't know what the XP will be like without first-time bonus.  IIRC it took about 25-30 minutes, but that was going after all of the optional red-names, which seemed worth doing on the first run.

30 minutes didn't really fit into my time-frame, but I can see where I could easily shave a few minutes off, so I'll have to test it out.  Can also see how it would absolutely rock in a group.  I'm guessing it's probably 15-20 mins with a decent party including opts?  You tell me Smiley

Definitely liked getting a few token shards on top of the XP...

EN Lords of Dust is about four-five minutes front to back, including the cut scene.  over 20k xp, IIRC, and three or four chests, too, if that's your thing.

I hope you know how to skip the cut scene.

I speed up the first one, after the trap hallway, by opening the door and running through to the next door before killing the first set of death knights... the second one I just run in the center of the room and wait the 20 seconds or whatever.  Am I missing an easy workaround?

WTF are you doing wrong? aim for 8-14 mins, including all optional red-names.

tip. get to the earth ellies at the start asap, and then kill what's following you.
the marut script doesn't trigger till you get there.

Ran this recently with a friend who hasn't played in a long time, both of us on first-life level 20 divine toons.  We just wanted to get though it quickly and get to Eveningstar so we went with EN.  For some reason many of the mobs had crazy-high CR's.  IIRC the dogs were all in the high 30's - like CR 38 or 39.  The red-named dog took forever to beat down, as did most of the other red-names.  Without both of us stacking Divine Punishment, there's no telling how long it might have taken.  So we got through it, but it was by no means quick and it was far from pretty. Smiley

Tried the next quest in the chain on EN until we ran into CR 39 hellhounds and said "F this" (just wasn't worth the time).  Bailed out and finished that part of the chain on heroic just to get to ES.  Took a "short-break" for lunch and he hasn't played since.  Undecided  This is a FTP chain, and potentially the first epics that many newer players will run, so I'm kinda wondering how many of them are running into this and also taking "short breaks" from DDO.

A guy I work with asks about DDO once in a while because he enjoys my horror stories.  He plays GW2 so he dosn't really doesn't run into any bugs worth talking about.  The last time he asked I just told him that nowadays DDO is more like a puzzle game than an RPG - every day you get the joy of finding clever workarounds for new (and re-introduced old) issues.  Lucky us.

Yeah, I'm not a natural-born zerger - I have to work at it.  I wasn't gathering everything up, just killing along the way.  25-30 mins was from memory - it might have been quicker, and I know I can easily shave some off.  However I will say that 8 minutes solo seems... optimistic.  It might be fun to try though.  Grin

Is "A Break in the Ice" worth throwing in here?

I added it to my daily Heroic norm farm (for 18 to 20) because I was looking for some HN gloves, but it remained decent, fast xp (a little over 7k making it about 1k/min if you could ignore the walkout time) even after -80% from repetitions.

Epic might be worse, or much better, xp.

-Invis past everything to the arena (nothing follows save a giant who stands, watching you from the doorway)

-Post arena, don't kill anything and just run, re-invisibling after picking up each piece of the giant's clothing.  Or just don't re-invis at all since you only get wolf followers for the final piece on normal.

-Pick up the first 6 pieces:
one obvious one on the floor before the drawbridge,
one at the top of the first ramp,
drop down to one surrounded by ice statues (statues not needed for ransack + spawn air eles),
go north and get the one the orc has,
then the one near the orc room next to the secret door,
then the one through the secret door...
and open the secret door at the other end which leads you back to where you started

-run to giant, ignoring pursuers.

-drop down hole.

-kill mage and giant.

-it gives a free devious 7%, observance 8%, and getting ransack on the way is basically a freebie 15% too if you have sonic blast / fireball / something.

If you blow up the 3 concentrated sets of barrel/crates in the first bit pre-arena as you go(and just invis after each time), the crates around the column near the frost giant, and the crates near the orc optional, all you need to do is clear the end room's breakables while the mage chats to the giant.

It's a bit of a walk out to the quest; 3 mins I think just haste + invis without monk/sprint boost.  But the quest itself is only about 8 mins.  I don't know.  If you had someone to hold the window it might be good enough to add to a daily rotation.

Wiki says it's 20k base xp on EN so I don't know.  I think it's good, but not really up there with LoD and certainly not Von 3.

Nice post, Deathdefy. Maybe that's why the chinese are running EE all the time. I've only run it maybe 3 times because almost no one runs U19 on Sarlona, so haven't had much chance to get familiar with it.

I've soloed EE on a shiradi.. Endfight is looooooong tho. I imagine on norm it's nice.

I just want the ee gloves. I'll prolly never get em.

Did EN Break the ice on melee. Took 11 mins for the 2 chests and 40k.
Killed all the mobs as I was in LD and wanted to get blitz up for end fight.

Longest fight is the giant at the end. It seemed like it took half the time as with all the talking my blitz was down to 5 charges.
