	Are there situations where level-draining effects are considered to be more useful than raw DPS, for example where one should take Assassin set over Ravager, Sacrificial Dagger over Agony, Grave Wrappings over wraps with more damage? I'm not planning to build a fixed gear set with these effects, but I'd like to know if it's worth keeping the inventory slots for swapping to things like this.

	Generally speaking, I prefer the level-drain to pure DPS against trash mobs/orange nameds. It helps CC and insta-kills. Against bosses, pure DPS.

	I would say orange named bosses or anything with too many HP to DPS it in 5-6 of seconds without level drain.

	Neg levels are some of the best DPS in game in epics a single neg lvl effect will drop an enemy hundreds to thousands of hitpoints .... it is pretty nice....

	See orange name with 60k+ HP, couple of woowoos and he's down to 5k. If you're running EEs you're better off with neg level over DPS on anything that isn't immune.

Say a mob starts at 60,000/60,000 and you woo him a bit. Now his HP is down to 20,000/20,000. If he regains those neg levels, he still only has 20,000/60,000. BAM mad dips.

	What rest said. Level draining epic mobs with huge HP translates into huge damage - can easily be 10K damage per level drained from a high CR orange name at full hp. The temp save penalty is nice, but it's not why you're doing it.

	A Buddy of mine who primarily plays a sorc keeps telling me he hates it when I level drain mobs since it pretty much invalidates all the damage he's done to it. He kinda has a point, where if it was at 7k/10k after one of his nukes and is suddenly at 6k/6k from my level drains... I just tell him to consider it a Fuck You for all the mobs he Fingers that are at 5% remaining life.

I was referring to your friend for being a dumb fuck and not using the correct spell first, and not referring to you using weapon drains.
