Spellcraft and Spell Crit changes - Wizard

Heya!

Previously we had spell power, spell crit and spell damage for individual elements.

Now we only have spell craft. What happened to spell crit chance and damage boost for spells? Is there a way in this new system?? How do I calculate damage and crit chance for a specific element now??

Thanks in advance!

Crit Chance:
05 Magical Training
01 Mental Toughness
01 Improved Mental Toughness
01 Epic Mental Toughness

Enhancements can add 1-2% per tier, depending on the tree.

Spell Lore X items provide 10% crit for all spells.
Individual damage type lores are available up to 20%.

Carpone covered chance, multiplier is a static +100% (2x) barring a very few minor effects like Arcane Supremacy.

Items and the old enhancements are gone for crit multiplier. Lore items for specific elements generally give 20% crit chance for level 28 items. Archmages get ~5% elemental/force crit chance from enhancements, pale masters get ~7% negative energy crit chance.

Archmage also has a proc that can increase crit chance by 25% and multiplier by 100% for a short time. Other than that, I don't recall a way to increase spell crit multipliers.

Basically we crit more often now but for less. That's my take away.

A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

Yes but without the STR modifier. Level 6 PM criting for 23 is awesome.

Each action point you spend in archmage grants 1 spell power to everything while pale master nets 1.5 spell power to negative energy and .75 to everything else.

One of the human versatility boosts is a 20-second 20 universal spell power boost.

Way to make this understandable to the drooling melee players.

EDIT: speaking of, I was doing an EH von5/6 with folks the other day and there were like 2 straight-up melee. A barb and a fighter I think. And they died at one point. And they said something jiokingly about bad healers. And it literally took me a moment to realize that some people still play like straight-up melee with weak/non-existent self-heals. Craziness.

I feel bad for new players who have not yet capped and unlocked cocoon.  It's pretty much a given that every toon will be able to self heal via heal, reconstruct, scroll Heal, or cocoon.

Of course, in the old days we used silver flame pots to the same effect.  There was never a reason to be a melee with non-existent self healing.  Just douche bags who liked to be babysat so they could just focus on To-hit, Damage, and Crits.
