It's just flashy regular shortsword, can't compete with better crit profile weapons on whatever "classic" high str build. Luckily, 13 rogue levels give me significant sneak damage. Plus breaking almost all the DR is ok in my book.

There's a tier one tempest enhancement that reduces the time between deflections down to two seconds. Totally worth it, even though it's a lot of AP.
