I went Dex/wis elf on my monkcher on someone's suggestion and I think I like it more than when i was str/wis helf, even though I know I'm giving up on the str bonuses from primal scream/nether grasp etc.  But maybe I like it more because I have more past lives so tough to say.

I find Pin to be so lackluster compared to Otto's or even Nerve Venom for that matter... What's your reasoning for Pin?

lulzcopter

serious? Pin gives helpless (or maybe a lesser version of it, some sort of vulnerability) damage dood. This isn't actually some sort of secret, is it?

Ottos is so/so. Nerve Venom is obv badass.

You do know that pin only makes them helpless when they aren't moving dipshit?
Guess what sniper shot does: they stop moving and do the improved deception turn-around

lulzcopter who is the dipshit now.

I have multiple characters with Pin and with Sniper shot and I'm not a dipshit so maybe you need to go back and check.

What a newb hahaha.

Can someone give this guy some sort of customs title like "Pin Nazi" or better yet "Pin Head"

whatever can't argue with stupid... tho I do recommend to go into some wilderness where mobs don't die to a couple hits but not to high I wouldn't want you to die while actually learning to play and test those abilities on standing and moving mobs, maybe you actually learn something  Roll Eyes

I second this movement. There should be more custom titles in the vault, especially for us Krauts.

Note that this doesn't imply that I am participating in your pinning argument - I just want more custom titles.

Yup. Some people learn to spell this stuff at the kindergarten (hi, flav!), some don't.

Lol I worked for the creative director/art director team that made that commercial in college. still one of the all time best commercials I've ever seen.

And ironically I just re-read the count of monte cristo last year (Dantes!) but it didn't occur to me that any of you philistines had. Anyway, Pin does still make mobs helpless, it just doesn't always stick them in place. So no matter how I spell Alexandre, you're still a dumb fucking idiot who doesn't know when to back down because he's wrong.

Not only did you unnecessarily insert a first name, and not only did you manage to misspell the first name in the process, you misspelled the last name too. If that was an attempt at a reference it was one of poorest I've ever seen.

Criticism accepted.

And yet, you nailed it. It's all in the last line of the commercial, when he says Dumass like AlexandRE Dumas' last name

One of the best all-time commercials. Right. Considering its mechanic is a silly pun with a misspelled french last name.
You don't work in the ad-industry, do you?

Also, you might be confusing me with someone else. I didn't make any claims except for your misspelling. I wasn't aware that this misspelling was even more glorious than I thought.

Edited:
missed a didn't

no the guy who doesn't know how pin works. Turk whatever

i think we can let this die, use Pin or dont. But you're dumb if you don't.

Also, I don't really care how you feel about that commercial, it's still one of my all time favorites.

Yeah, names are a great thing to make sure that the person addressed knows who you are talking to. Also, you don't need to memorize them to paste them. Ctrl-C Ctrl-V is probably faster than trying to remember what a person's name is, giving up and typing "whatever" instead.

I don't see anyone not using Pin in this thread.

Turkantho's approach seems to be to make moving mobs stop their movement with Sniper Shot, so that Pin makes them helpless.

Your approach seems to be to use Pin on a moving mob, so that they are slowed down, and using Sniper Shot on a moving, but not helpless mob.

For stationary mobs, obivously, there is no need for Sniper Shot to prepare the Pin.
