I havve a bank toon that I want to start playing. He has a Pinion in the bank (raiders Box). I have read alot about the Monkcher, but there is alot of conflicting info (Wis vs Str vs Dex ect.) I think that I want to Range 99% of the time if possible. If that is the case can Ki be built without melee for 10k stars?
Does anyone have a good link to that type of build with feat and enhancement choices, hell even race/stat suggestions. Or is it even possible to do decent DPS with just range?

If your just starting out I recommend the 11ranger/6monk/3pally split
11ranger gives you IPS for free, 6 monk gives you 10k stars, and 3 pally gives you really good saves (I'm at 75 universal with half ass gear) and divine might for a whole lotta extra str
And the ki situation isnt a problem, you just need to get the 3rd tier of contemplation which is in the henshin mystic tree, (req is 2 monk lvls) as long as you use water stance while using 10k youll have plenty of ki left all the time.
really if you just try to get the feats that have a prereq of a certain base stat and you meet those stat requiresments youll be alright, specifically 21 dex for combat archery (gives +1[W] per hit) 42wisdom after all buffs for 4 arrows while using 10k, and put the rest into str, con, and some into CHA.
with this build you can just invest 14points into con btw, while at 28 im sitting at 1k hp while in water stance, so you dont need to worry about it to much
Some people also use the 4pally splash variant which gives you the turn undead feat so you can use divine might X times per rest instead of having to twist in bane of undeath, which it isnt entirely useful but I can understand why they do it, to be able to twist in more saves or something.
It might not seem plausable but if you go bladeforged you'll survivability it crazy good, which with monkchers that really be the only thing you need to worry about since manyshot+fury+slayer arrow is going to kill most things
