It carries an Update feature (ddo-ml) but i havnt tested it personally.. i typically just start up the real client for update purposes, close down after its done, then start up py/ml XD

the thread says the patch feature is untested... i'm testing it right now (lol) and so far it *seems* to be working. i'll report back when it's done if it worked correctly or not


i'll also be posting it prominently as a way to bypass Akami and insisting that my husband start using it.

Well I can give DDO-ML a spin to update I guess, if pyLOTRO doesn't work

So here's my conundrum: I have Pylotro it will patch but if I don't use the preloader due to DDO being on a old HD I won't be able to load in.

I'll get the same ole same ole problem with it hanging or taking forever on the 1st time logging in.

After the 1st time I can use Pylotro over & over again no problem to log in super quick.

Input/ideas/assistance? Thanks in advance!

to be very very blatant:

i give a friggin crap about what turbine says about the matter nor what anyone says about intentions. What matters is the EULA that HAS TO BE ACCEPTED to be even able to play, even if the game is uptodate.
man, im not really happy about europe or my homeland, germany, but at least until now we have a culture of caring at least a friggin tidbit about privacy and such.

and again, even if it does NOT do any p2p, its still datamining, and friggin dont come with: if you are  not a criminal, you dont have to hide anything ...

Seth, yep, I was trying to find down that post to answer it too since it's full of bullshit.
I also had a few posts cubed in that thread and in others... Damage Control is out in full swing.

- The game doesn't need Netsession as proved by both PyLOTRO and DDO-ML working (and updating the game ) fine.

- The Launcher ( since that the only software that required it ) is not that huge a download ( compared to the rest of what gets updated in a patch ) it doesn't need a bandwidth management software.

Anybody care to post to all the MMO related website about the latest failure from Turbine ?

Last time with the Occupy Stormreach it somewhat worked.
