each of my login names for the accounts is something like "Augment Gear" or my personal favorite account "PointyThings" Cheesy, and then the toons int hat account are rapiers, shorts, and daggers.. cuz.. im a freaking packrat.. and i can.. xD

How is it possible for anyone to think that having players make extra accounts is some kind of unwanted side-effect of this giveaway?

Turbine likes when people make more accounts and they like even more when people make more accounts and then log in to those accounts.  Anything that gets people to make more accounts and log in with more accounts makes Turbine look good to their corporate overlords.

It's not as if it wasn't obvious after the Cubelet offer that people were going to make dummy accounts.

Now how are they going to try to track down dummy accounts if they ever try ?

You can't do it by the IP... Consider coeds playing from the same building ( thus with the same external IP ) or husband, wife and child playing from home ( that's 3 accounts with the same IP... and yes I know of one example )

These guys really are uprights dickwads.
Goddamn, Uska is the worst forum paladin ever.
Ironically, as in RL, those who are most vocal moralistic crusaders are often found to be the most corrupt.   Wink

So one day we'll find out that Uska's secret identity is really Epoch or something equally horrifying...   Grin

This trading card game by it's very nature has so much potential for exploits that I was beginning to get excited again.
Don't care much for the known prizes, but finding the next bug is the fun part.

And fear not that Turbine are onto it.  It's on Lamm which means it is already in the code for U21.  Anything Turbine tries to fix in a hurry - they fuck it up!  Bring it on!   Cheesy

I agree that trying to control or limit FTP accounts would be a foolish thing to do, but.....we all know Turbine's track record on decision making is about the equivalent of a mentally challenged chimp with 30 IQ.
