Seems like it's way better than the damn abilities not working at all. Is the math right?

I wish there was a blurb in there about throwing weapons not letting you stay centered, even if you're centered via the kensai ability for that weapon type. As in my thread here https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/438753-Hammer-based-One-With-The-Blade...

There's a lot of issues with throwing weapons.

Yeah, Centering with a non Melee weapon is a totally different issue though. Would you be happier if they gave throwing hammers +1 multi on 19-20? Better than nothing.

Well I only got the hammer for the novelty. I'll just use a pinion for ranged stuff. It's be really super if they actually fixed stuff.

But I'm thinking that the assassin dagger enhancements, including expanded crit range and higher multiplier, will also not function. I think it has to do with the fact that throwing weapons are coded as ammunition rather than weapons. Which is why (I think) that certain AA abilities function with thrown weapons.

From Cordo, today:

"I'm not sure that would help solve the issue. Now, it's important to remember that we don't have a fix yet, so the cause of the problem is also not entirely known, but it seems that the issue is that the crit profile is accurate on the weapon at the time that it is in your hand (display issues or not), but that that benefit "disappears" as soon as the weapon is thrown/projected/whatever. So it's like it drops off the item about a foot from your hand.  So if all we did was turn it into a Crit multiplier bonus, it might still have the same issue."

The thread of course explain +1 multi on 19-20 currently does work on Shuriken.

I like it.  It's not the same and it's not perfect, but it's better than what we have now and it's an easy fix that won't fuck anything up (probably).
