Jonny dodger just a waste of time?

So I have been working on a tr toon and chasing walking around dodge bumps to get it as high as possible.

But last night, I got the feeling I may running into a dead-end.

It may be fun for me to have a high dodge, but really as the game exists now having a standing dodge of 20-30% is nice, but really  shouldn't I be putting more into doing damage and killing crap then dodge.

I almost feel like it is just a tricked up version of the AC chase, get a big number but you cant kill stuff anywhere fast enough and you get spell death.

Keep in mind that it was late, and I tend to second guess my toon ideas when its late.

And  why not ask this as well, how do you feel about chasing PRR to excess?

Quick addition here, or is the dodge going to be more of a benefit in end-game content where the hits are much harder?

For leveling I find that a good AC, coupled with miss chance (Blur, Shadow Fade, Displace, Ghostly, basically whatever stacks) is your best bet. When I'm zerging I see a lot more misses than I see dodges, and early to mid levels you won't have a high dodge anyway. On top of that, melee hits aren't that bad, it's the spammy spell damage you need to worry about.

I'm currently level 9 and sitting at 54AC or 56 or something like that. Add in a great Reflex and I can keep myself up easily with CSW pots. I never even run Shadow Fade and don't have a Blurry item. I've been using most of my slots for stat or DPS increasers.

Dodge isn't really needed until the hits start to get bigger. Every bit helps, but if you kill an enemy 10% faster then ideally you're taking 10% less damage, right? Gotta find a good balance.

Mhm, dodge is definitely something to have a decent amount of, but you shouldnt be sacrificing too much dps, if any at all for a max'd amount of it.

TBH I just get a reliable way to self heal and maybe some decent dodge and I just kill things before they can kill me (works in heroics, not so much in epics)....
