Anyone play this?
I just restarted playing some after like a year off.
It's my outlet atm because I'm scared of Wildstar. (If I buy wildstar I might get sucked in too badly..)
A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

Good grief Meat, you're hopeless. You would label the simple act of taking a shit as someone obeying the divine law of nature to leave a proof of existence.

I played for a bit when it came out. It's a real turn-off to have to be online to play though.

I was a hardcore SC1 player. Enjoyed the hell out of SC2 when both WoL and HotS came out, but in between expansions I tend to only play occasionally.
SC2 is everything I'd ever wished SC1 was, but their grouping system killed user-created maps. You can only ever get people into the most popular games, which obliterated variety. In SC1, there were 50 different Special Forces maps, and you could fill a group with any of them. In SC2, there may be 50 SF maps, but only two are popular enough to make a group with.
Given how much I'm enjoying Wildstar, I don't see myself returning to SC2 until after the next expansion.

I just won two games PvT 1v1 this morning with dark templar rushes proxied (just to hide the shrine) and warped in with a prism. It was delicious.
Anyway. I hear you Strake on the grouping. I didn't play a lot of SC1 online. But, you're right about SC2. Only the popular ones get played a lot. I did like Mineralz and whatever the huge neverending spawning one was with the bases off to the side and spawns fighting in the middle.
What race(s) do you favor?

I tend to prefer protoss, but I haven't done a lot of traditional (melee) gaming in SC2. In the SC1 days, I preferred zerg, though part of that was based on the map max (max units on map) - zerg could handle that problem better.

Zerg is the only race that matters. All others will be consumed.

Wow, you love me. There has been two big lag fixes in the past week. No, those are not going out with a hotfix. They are more wide ranging and take more time to test.
Of course every time you get like this, I keep wondering where your MMO is so I can play it. Obviously you know excatly how to piece one of these together. I can't keep apologizing a gazillion times for the back end tech and things people did on this game before I was even an employee. So one last time, yes some of the stuff from the before times sucks. Sorry about that. Yes we know, stop building new systems. Yes we know, finish the ones out there. Yes we know you hate bards.
And screw you for bringing up the laid off folks. That sucks every time. I made sure all my people landed in other jobs real quick. None of my 'casualties' are unemployed, just sadly not employed by Turbine. Every business goes through this.Even Valve has layoffs. It sucks every time. If you haven't had to do it then you just don't know. Picking people and knowing you are about to turn their life upside down is terrible, every time.
Not giving a bleep. No, I stop listening when the bile starts. Not worth my sanity. You know my rule, treat me like a human and I'll do the same back. When the rage train starts...cya.
So here is my peace out of the vault for a while. Thanks for the list Ranger, that was actually clear and helpful.
