In case anyone missed it, it seems that Epic Orchard will be a thing.
Here's hoping for a raid in the vein of eGH where the Abbot manages to "reform his essence" and complete his ritual, forcing us to fight a Super Abbot. Complete with puzzles, of course.

We will definitely need to address the lack of good small shields in future content. I know we plan to have small shields and bucklers in the loot for the epic version of Orchard which would be released at the same time as these changes.

Is sigil grinding a thing for characters that aren't on their first lives?
I know that I've got at least 20 of each piece from farming orchard at least a bit most lives.

In other news, as a result of epic Abbot, heroic Abbot's end reward list is broken.

Want a screenshot? I don't know the exact count for each piece, but I know that I haven't had to run orchard for anything other than xp for at least a dozen lives.

EPIC ABBOT!!
Complete with Epic Tiles (where tiles only appear in every other line and cycle twice as fast)
Epic Asteroids (Where each 'roid takes 5 throws to wipe it out and one hit wipes the party)
And Epic Ice (where there's 3 wands and you need three people to complete it because the islands only last 1/3 of the time)
As a bonus gift, you get:
EPIC INFERNO - that ignites not only the island, but all of the deadly poisonous water around it AND it lasts TWICE AS LONG! - good luck with those ice islands
But seriously folks - this is Turdbine we're talking about...even this is a stretch for their imaginations.
On a happier note...

I think there are A LOT of people who would come back for a properly executed and well-looted Epic Orchard. That pack is the favorite of most of the very best players I've known playing this game. At least I hope so, because pugging this with people will be awful.
Looking forward to seeing how it shapes up.

They fucked up this raid loot without trying, now they are going to do it on purpose. Must be currently working fairly well.

I hope it makes good use of the optional fights in GoP, Inferno, Fleshmakers and VoL
It was very satisfying the first time I ever met the waves objective in GOP, tying epic loot into those chests would be awesome.

Epic abbot simply needs a litany of the dead augment to be worthy of running.
Any other loot on top of that is gravy.

Was the Orchard ever really anyone's favorite? It was a pack no one bought until it became a TR XP grind.

I liked a few, didn't really care much for Inferno. I like the concept of how it works, hate the fucking quest though. Fleshmakers wasn't so bad. Could have done without the beholder. Vampire wasn't too hateful at least.
I do like the explorer area.
Raid isn't too hateful unless lag happens or the group sucks. Decent players and it is doable but you get a few that don't know what the fuck is going on for the fight can really fuck things up way more than most other raids. I did some teaching runs but people are just too impatient. I would put "learning run, not completing for several runs" and of course, morons would join and get pissed since we were all recalling out after one fight and trying to complete the puzzles. I hate pugs. Much easier trying to teach my guildies.
The fucking bugs that kept getting introduced really sucked but that was par for Turbine. They owe me some loot for several chests.
