Heavy Armour eSOS guy.

Well I had been debating on whether or not I should post this build, because he is not really EE capable. Maybe whilst blitzing, but not otherwise. But with the proposed upcoming changes to heavy armour, why not? He will gain a lot from the proposed changes.

He is a PDK. 12 fighter/4 paladin/4 Favored Soul

Split as follows:

I really like running him in the Divine Crusader destiny. It lets me crit 11-20 with my eSOS. (and TF Falchion also)

Fully self buffed, including tensors, I am hitting 76 STR.

Here's a screenshot of his destiny screen, character sheet and inventory.

Current equipment is as follows:
Helm: Devotion (102) of Concentration +13.
Necklace: Necklace of Mystic Edilons - Green slot currently empty.
Trinket: Planar Focus of Erudition +3 CHA
Cloak: Deadly X of Wizardry IX (225)
Belt: EE Daggertooth's Belt - Yellow Slot: DEX +7 - Green Slot: Good Luck +2
Ring 1: Guardian's Ring - Yellow Slot: Globe of Imperial Blood
Gloves: STR 10 of Dodge 9%
Boots: CON 9 of Life +45
Ring 2: EN (Sad)Consuming Darkness - Yellow Slot: Draconic Soul Gem
Bracers: Greater Convalescent (30% amp) of Parrying VIII (+4 saves)
Armor: Flawless Shadow Dragonplate Armor - Blue Slot: Vitality 20 - Green Slot - Golem's Heart
Goggles: CHA 10 of Resist 10
Weapon: eSOS slotted with the Master's Gift and a Ruby of the Endless Night. If I could ever get a meteoric star ruby, that would go there instead. I realize I could get a lot more out of my cocoon if I slotted devotion there, but I haven't decided if that's where I want to go yet. I likely will, since my T2 TF Falchion (1st Degree Burns and Dragon's Edge) has 2x endless night rubies slotted, which is great for trash cleanup.

The helm is an old leftover. I was planning on putting a Devotion of Omniscience (108 positive 8% dodge +5 heightened awareness) but it works better on my druid.
Currently my dodge is capped at 14%, which is why I don't have a bigger dodge item.
I'd like some 50 health boots, but I'm not missing the 5 HP that much. And 1 more point of con will leave me odd so the boots are not a priority.
I was considering swapping to the new boots out of 3bc, for the FoM ability and the fire absorption. I still may do that, if I slot false life elsewhere. That would help with the biggest hole in this character: elemental damage (specifically fire)
I have absolutely no desire to run Deathwyrm for the bracers. Yes, I realize they're pretty awesome. No, I don't care that much about them.

Skills of note:
33 Balance
48 Intim
38 UMD
(ship buffs only)

Enhancements:

PDK
1 Damage Boost
2 STR
1 Heal Amp 10%
----------------------
5 Total

Kensai
1 Heavy Blades (Core)
1 Spiritual Bond (Core)
1 Strike With No Thought (Core)
1 Power Surge (Core)
6 Extra Action Boost (T1)
2 Kensai Specialization (T1)
3 Haste Boost (T1)
4 Tactics (T2)
2 Kensai Specialization (T2)
3 Critical Accuracy (T3)
2 Kensai Specialization (T3)
2 STR (T3)
3 Critical Damage (T4)
2 Kensai Specialization (T4)
2 STR (T4)
1 A Good Death (T5)
1 Keen Edge (T5)
-------------------------------------
37 Total

Warpriest
1 Smite Foe (Core)
1 Resilience of Battle (Core)
3 Divine Might (T1)
3 Toughness (T1)
2 Smite Weakness (T2)
3 Wall of Steel (T2)
3 Inflame (T2)
3 Inflame:Saving Throws (T2)
1 Inflame:Energy Absorption (T3)
2 STR (T3)
2 Ameliorating Strike
---------------------------------------
24 Total

Sacred Defender
1 Holy Bastion (Core)
3 Extra Lay On Hands (T1)
3 Sacred Armor Mastery (T1)
------------------------------------
7 Total

Stalwart Defender:
1 Toughness (Core)
6 Stalwart Defensive Mastery (T1)
---------------------------------------
7 Total

I've considered dropping the tactics, since even with a 76 str and a +5 item, my stuns are shit on EE. 33 STR + 10 stunning blow +5 mastery + 2 Enhancements + 10 other item (which won't currently fit) thats only 60 DC. If I did, I would likely put them into the absorb portion of inflame. I don't really have enough extra points to put in the PDK tree, and nothing there is really compelling. I like having the extra LoH, which gives me 4 of them healing 314hp each. It helps with having to rely on cocoon.

I think it sucks that the fighter armor mastery enhancements cost twice as much as the paladin ones.

I am also considering what to put in my first twist spot. Momentum swing is currently there to help with DPS. Another option might be Grim Precision. Endless Lay On Hands would give me a total of 7 LoH, and they would regenerate. That's another option to consider, to help keep myself alive in EEs.

So there you go. I just got the necklace this weekend, and that was the last real hole in my gear setup.

Tear me up, I'm bad at builds.

Yes. 2x neg levels on a vorpal strike. Useful if you are a SWF guy and have a weapon with 2x red slots.

Sad thing for last 2 years is that I think 20 and 30 amp on any fleshy that heals themselves is non negotiable.
20 amp bracers, 30 amp gloves for the last 2 damn years Turbine.

I have also been playing relatively top notch heal amp twf ameliorating strike toon lately and find it's totally unreliable, much less on thf Sad

It's rough for sure. I just have to be SUPER aware of where I am and how much hate I am generating. It's made me a better player on toons that can self heal flawlessly. I couldn't justify both slots for heal amp, but it would make everything a lot easier.

corodvan said they will be fixing it soon. It will not be retroactive. If your wolf takes the ranger levels before the fix it will stay as a swf/2wf cheaty face

IDk how much will change when theyre done with prr/mrr changes. Getting geared up now could be wasteful on many slots depending on what they end up doing.

You current gear set up is different than my thf, but I'm using a Cetus build. cant not really not go BF because it frees up the build in every way possible. Feats. Twists, Gear slots.

Have you considered getting the Dragon Masque from Fire on Thunder Peak? Deception, clear slot, yellow slot, Insightful sneak +6, Deadly +11, negative 2d6 dmg on hit. It's 12-32 extra points, opens up your cloak slot. Maybe a Smoke Screen GSteel cloak of 45 Hp with displace clickies. Would need for you to slot devotion elsewhere though.

Sort of. If your wolf takes the swf line then takes the ranger levels. The fix will not be retroactive. How arre they going to strip feats off you? They will need to recode a wolf? LOL@Dat. Or SWF- possible. You can use Coup De Grace even if not in Swashbuckling stance. Might be able to Coup De Grace in wolf form. Swashbuckler stance will not work in wolf form.

I don't think naming names would be a good thing for me to do, but I'd pretty much add anyone who's a know-it-all dick on the list. Even if they are sometimes intelligent with their opinions, the way they state them in long, "i'm a lawyer at trial"-type posts makes me want to punch them in the face. They act like whiney babies with god complexes and then freak out if someone so much as breathes criticism in their direction.
