I highly doubt they are after people who are duping just a few items. More likely than they are after people who dupe 1000's of item, and advertise through chat channels or posting them on the ASAH - or here perhaps. Certainly not everyone who has duped an item - or dozens - have been banned.
This would certainly seem like a sensible and pragmatic approach.....
Hence it is unlikely to be the case with Turdbine. If you happen to have a stack of 1000 spell components, despite not being dupable, you are likely to be labelled a duper, your account banned and have random items from your toons deleted to teach you a lesson.
Oh, and should you appeal and they find that you are in fact not guilty, they cannot restore accounts, so the best you will get is an "Oops, sorry. Don't do it again message." Or if Cordo writes it, it will read, " Oops, sor "
This is because many of the GM's are either (a) too busy trying to do CS to do a thorough assessment; or (b) too fucken incompetent to understand the product and what has or has not been duped.
Either way, false positives will happen.
They can't undo their mistakes and care even less.
This makes their hamfisted approach to "justice" gobsmackingly retarded (Eighness - hope you don't mind if I use your word in this instance).

If your really flipping out that bad, then you probably never have done it and should never do it again. Stop being a bitch and crying on the internet. If you get banned, take it like a fucking man.
Agreed. Before doing it, consider the consequences.
If your account and game is very important, don't risk it.
You can certainly mitigate the risk by avoiding the obvious tells that ThereIsNoSpoon outlines, and taking other steps.....

But even if you're innocent, there is still a chance you will get hit, such is the incompetence of Turdbine.
Scrabbit - welcome to the club and good luck.
