My issue is this. LotRO almost NEVER has downtime, where as DDO is full of it.

What the hell is the logic behind that? Same company, same server location (city), most likely at the same data center, with the same damn team overseeing the servers... DAFUQ?

Whenever DDO has been down during my play time for the last few years, 9/10 times LOTRO was down too.

I just logged into LotRO and moved around a bit, no issue.

Use PyLOTRO or DDO-ML.

No fucking stupid check toward Akamai Servers that are overloaded and fails to answer.
( patch server = cdn<something>.akamai.net )

Linkies for both are hiden in the old Akamai Netsession thread here and on the official forum.
Side Note : DDO-ML gave me a trojan warning at work last time I downloaded the compiled thing... went for source code and compiled it for safety )

All games affected.

A weekly to two times a week occurrence for Turbine.

Just tells you that bean counters only allow the cheapest possible hardware to be purchased.  All bean counters should have their electricity shutoff, at work, and be forced to use paper and pencils to do their jobs.

Then, they should rotate out and answer customer support on the weekends.
