So, the last time I played a tank was fucking long ago.
So I have a couple questions on this fucked up agro system as it is today.
Shit I have noticed is that I no longer get a "you fucking failed" on my die when I hit intimidate, it only gives me a die roll on a success. What the fuck is this all about.
As far as hate generation goes, is it better to hit intimidate then cleave, or cleave then intimidate.
I am about to take 28, and am trying to decide between first blood and elusive target. While damage mitigation is always nice something that hits 5% vs something that hits %100 vs full hp is a tough call for me. The bonus to initial hate generation on first blood might be useful.
Any insight you dickbags might have would be appreciated, except from Teh_Faker you can fuck off bro.
First off, tank builds are pretty much worthless and not really needed anywhere in the current game because pretty much anyone can tank if you have enough EPLs. Even if no one volunteers to tank someone can surely kite.
That being said, you may not see rolls because a lot of shit is immune (though you should get a "Cannot be influenced" error message against undead, constructs, vermin.) A lot of other monsters have randomized aggro.
If you intim and then cleave you get to skip part of the intim animation IIRC.
If you're a tank, then your defense is surely good enough without elusive target and you should probably pick a DPS feat. I've never really cared for first blood, but it can be really good if you tend to play solo and pull mobs one at a time. I would take PTWF for the 5% double strike if you didn't take it at 26.
