Axer had a raging hard-on for himself and he was a complete dick to anybody that wasn't good enough to support him in a raid or at least kiss his ass while hoping for dinner scraps in the raid chest.

that was apparent every time he tried to make a mobo post.  CRUSHHH IT!

Hell, there was a time when Fatherkline actually was a good healer.  Something, I don't know what, but something pissed him off and he tried to take it out on the server.

Crazyd just had an ego, a huge ego, but he wasn't a dick.

Axer had a raging hard-on for himself and he was a complete dick to anybody that wasn't good enough to support him in a raid or at least kiss his ass while hoping for dinner scraps in the raid chest.

I never saw Axer try to bully anyone out of loot in a raid chest or complain about something being put up for roll that he wanted.

He was definitely a jerk to those who couldn't keep up.  Which might be build deficiencies or it might be having the audacity to not follow his methods to the letter.  (He did not like things being done any way but his preferred way).

But loot drama, not so much.  There were other players and guilds on Khyber that were much worse about that sort of thing.

This.

Honestly, the Myth Of Axer was worse than reality. But, he certainly had some arrogance upon which the myth was based.

What myth?  dude was a total self-centered tool on the mobo.  the posts are still there to read.  he was hands down the winner of the 'head up his own ego' award.  with Chai as a distant DISTANT runner up.  who cares if was actually cool in raids to other people that one time?

he may pet puppies and grow daises and braid his Nana's hair.  he's still a tool.

Sorry if I was misunderstood there.  I ran many raids and quests with Axer, and your right about him not pulling any of the loot drama.

I was talking about the suck-ups who ran with Axer like a bunch of groupies.  They seemed to me to be nothing more than loot-whores, and generally of the same gimp level as others who Axer would shit on.  The difference seemed to be if you were kissing his ass and telling him he was awesome (and that math wasn't important) he would tolerate their shortcomings.

My gripe with Axer, and why I stopped bothering to be in quests with him, was the way he would treat people who didn't play up to his standards.  I've been in parties with him when he was a total dick to other players.  I'm not into listening to shit like that, and there are more than enough other players to group with that don't take attitudes like his.

Good point. There was forum Shade--which I include in the Myth--and there was player Shade. Player Shade was decent and not as much of a dick. He was even helpful at time. Forum Shade was... different.

Yeah, Axer was always pretty decent to me. Helped that I started out playing a cleric no doubt, but he always treated me well, and it's hardly like I'm the most uber player in existence.

Hey plays ESO now and writes on the ESO forums as Axer (there might be a number after that, can't recall). Anyways, he mostly posts in the pvp section - or used to, it was more than 8 months since I played that game and read their forums.

Though I never ran with him, his comments suggest that he's good at ESO.

Tere, Axer was notorious for changing his attitude toward people (especially toward women) when he knew there was a female in his group. It's understandable why you never experienced his more dickish side.
