Saw someone bring this up in chat, I hadn't heard about it until it was linked. The damn thing is going to die before it is even out.

There was another thread about that here, maybe I'll link back to it tonight, but yeah, it's really too bad. Pathfinder P&P is great, and I loved the idea of a small company building a niche MMO from off the shelf components. I didn't fit the niche they chose (I don't care for PvP, and won't play a game where someone can engage me in PvP without prior consent) but I wished them well.

I hope the next company to pick up the baton makes it across the finish line. Neverwinter Online gave a taste of user created content, Pathfinder Online a taste of an MMO built from off the shelf components, and Path of Exile a winning example of a gamer run company that puts user experience first and profits from the quality of their offering. It's only a matter of time before DDO style games get all 3 of those pieces together, and I hope it's soon! (NOT soon (TM) or any of those variants).

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

My sole problem with poe is how they handle their leagues. Other then that I love their team. Maybe ggg can pick up pathfinder online. Wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air.

I find that thought almost as exhilarating as the Bugs Bunny thread ...

This.

I have wished this so hard. Whether it's Pathfinder or a new version of D&D, something that brought all the elements to the table would be SugarTits.

But I agree it'd have to be basically a fan-driven campaign, otherwise it'd just fall flat on its face as ROI from ass-clown investors demands lowest common denominator marketing and design.

Fucking suits ruin everything.

I don't think naming names would be a good thing for me to do, but I'd pretty much add anyone who's a know-it-all dick on the list. Even if they are sometimes intelligent with their opinions, the way they state them in long, "i'm a lawyer at trial"-type posts makes me want to punch them in the face. They act like whiney babies with god complexes and then freak out if someone so much as breathes criticism in their direction.
