Has anyone played it? I'm downloading the trial right now.
I played it a while back for a year or so when I was on break from DDO. LVL cap was 50 at the time and the 'end game' raids was the binding coils of bahamut turn 9.
So this was a while back....but the lvl cap has gone to 65 and the coils have finished with turn 13 and there is some new 'awesomekillthebossforthephatlewtzthatwillbeworthlessnextupdate'
the raids are on a weekly lockout and basically you NEED to get into a good raid group or the game is boring as hell.
Raids consist of 'plot' kill the trash, then a boss who if you don't kill in xyz amount if time hits a 'hard enraged' and wipes the group.
Boss attacks consist of ' x pattern' for x amount of health, then 'y pattern' for x amount of health.... rise lather repeat until the boss is dead.
Attacks consist of red circles ( I think they changed them to gold for colour blind people) on the ground to indicate attack arc's.
Basically lvl's 1-50 (now 65) is filler for raiding. Loot doesn't matter much, there is plenty of 'dailies' to keep you busy but they wear thin after a while.
It's a grinder, you are always grinding for raid gear, its basically the 'have's the raid gear top end loot' and the 'have not's' and button mashing for the optimal dps combo.
Expect to be VERY poor gil wise unless there is a douping ploit in the game now, crafting is FUCKING expensive but back when I played a VERY few of the best items where crafted to do the different stat weights.
