If I had Bladeforged available, could I TR into it? and if so, can I skip the auto-levelling bit and just start at lvl 1 instead?

To me, this reads that I can just jump out at lvl 1. Am I required to Level up right after or can I hold my levels for a bit while my friends get situated?

You could can go Bladeforged, level 1 pal 14 ranger, then use one of the free +5 hearts to take out your Pally level. You would do this by rejecting training and leveling the 14 ranger at a trainer

You can, but you won't earn any xp, as you'll already have enough for level 15.  You also won't get any starter gear until you take level 15.

I'm ok with this as I'll be seeing if my friends are even interested in playing passed level 4 Grin

And I've got plenty of starter gear stashed away anyhow.

Yeah, all the iconics have a full kit that you can't get anywhere else.  Nothing great, but a balanced selection of enchantments across all the gear.  Automatically dumped into your inventory after you take 15.

some of the items are dope. robots get a repair amp trinket, shadar get an assassinate dc item. all pretty good.
