Anyone working on that shit?  You know you want it.  As long as it was developed and administrated by anyone other than Turbine, I think that setting would be the next logical place to go after DDO/Neverwinter.  Let's face it, both premises were flawed as fuck: DDO has effectively nothing to do with D&D and Neverwinter flat-out sucks.  A well executed Ravenloft oriented game could be just the ticket.  Bring in a contant in-game clock like Castlevania 2: by day, the monsters are completely different, and less powerful than those encountered at night.  Make lower level toons have to sweat the sunset.  Capisce?

Meh, apparently MMORPGs are out, and MOBAs and competitive multiplayer are in. Not exactly a good games market for D&D. They're doing great on the P&P side, though. 5th Ed. is apparently quite popular.

It's not the vampire thing, man; it's another D&D context that's gone unexplored.  Turbine's laughable take on the Forgotten Realms was double bad; do YOU feel that premise had any justice done to it?  Ravenloft hasn't even been tried, and the Baldur's Gate clones all fucking suck dog shit.  D&D is nothing more than a quality premise, the execution makes the game; and so far, all we've gotten is broken-ass DDO and some lame interpretation of Neverwinter that's even more laughably bad.  I lament that such quality material has not been more thoroughly mined for its potantial; Ravenloft is a perfect "for instance" but you could substitute any D&D premise for it.

DDO had was going right when it first came out. All Eberron, only Eberron. New World, not many things about it. I thought it was going good kinda until the whole Forgotten Realms thing.
