I've heard of this build a few times and am looking for a fun/cheap way to pick up some wizard PLs.
  
I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

Shiradi build somewhat sucks in heroics... it's only really powerful once you hit epics... if you are planning a gnome version you will have to get through those 5 levels of hell from 15-20 with a crappy build.  Then you'll be golden from 20-30.

if you are thinking of 1 to 20, you won't have much fun and you'd be better off just doing a melee Eldritch wizard build

Even in heroics, a FvS splash with just rewards and archmage SLAs is decent.  Go for 14 wiz/4 fvs/2 barb for easy button in epics IMO.

2 barb for sprint boost i guess?  1 barb i get for permanent 10% run, but 2 barb is that worth it over 15th wiz level and another wiz feat?

10 wizard, 6 warlock (fiend pact), 4 favored soul.

Archmage SLAs from wizard.  Aura shape, AE SLAs and T5 goodies from Warlock's ES tree.  Just Rewards and fire spell power from FvS.

Decent force spell power between the wizard's Archmage tree and warlock's Eldritch Blasts.  Decent force, fire and light spell power synergy between fvs and the various SLAs and Eldritch blasts.

Huge survivability boosts from ES tree via Shining Through, cheap SLA displacement, 0% ASF medium armor proficiency, etc., etc.

Use the archmage SLAs for sniping and dealing damage at a distance.  Use the warlock SLA AEs and aura to finish off whatever's left by the time it gets to you.

Multiple sources of spell crit boosts from archmage, AoV, and the warlock trees.

Pretty big easy button for heroics.  In theory, it would probably make a decent Shiradi spammer build in epics with the right gear for caster level boosts.

Its gonna have to be either a deep gnome or an otto's popped insta-20, depending on how badly I want to be a robot. slogging through 5 levels of heroics ain't bad, though I am sincerely tired of flesh lives...

Stats:
20 con, 16 cha, 14 int ...or whatever

Feats:
Adamantine body
Metas (max, emp, quicken, enlarge, extend, eschew)
Force of personality
Mental toughness x2
...or whatever you want

Epic feats:
Wellspring
Arcane pulse or hellball
Force sp
Ruin x2
MoK
Scion fire

Enh:
Archmage for arcane blast and supremacy
Eldritch for 2nd core (5% reduc and some force)
Blade for 15% reduc only
AoV for just reward and crit
SaD for +6 con +20%hp and fast move
...or move these points around, but you need the 20% reduc

Need a 15% reduc augment at 20+ to get 0% failure.

Well the problem is I'm fairly burned out on heroics. That lengthy crawl from 1 to "when I get my fuckin greensteel, bitch" got old. Plus there's so much awesome level 15ish gear these days, I'd rather just step out of the forge and go 15-30 for a heroic life than 1-20.
