Sad news indeed.
I think DDO/LOTRO still make money. Their recent actions would support that.
They've just decided they can no longer be bothered and want to find something new to epicly fail at it. Which they will so long as the current Turdbine mgmt remain, then any project is doomed to failure no matter how good the people they hire are.
Might be a chance of them selling DDO off now...
If Sev goes, then I will be happy.
The other guys at least have some use if DDO now goes into Maintenance Mode.
I have no doubt that the majority of the retrenchments are in the MMO workers and that all the Turdbine middle mgmt sails on through untouched. Wonder if the "dream team" of the Paiz's will move to mobile development roles?
I do wonder if U32 will ever make it live now?
Do you guys think it's likely that the retrenchments will be immediate and anything currently being worked on will be abandoned?
It would be sadly ironic for the finally updated Cannith Crafting to fall at this last hurdle.

Anyway, this is not unexpected but still sad news nonetheless.
