	A new raid would be welcome. Although, if it is in the anniversary event does that mean it is like old Mabar's spectral dragon and be a raid that is only available for a limited time?

Likely it'll drop "In Event" and they'll gauge the interest, and then it'll be an Iconic. I find it difficult to believe Kobold got dropped from the board entirely, considering how many people wanted it (for some reason). "1 Normal, 1 "Iconic" has been the M.O. for new races recently. "Dragonblooded Races" pack. Only 4995 DDOPts! Edited: I can't believe we still don't have fucking Shifters.

	From the last DDOCast (on Trinkets), Cordovan said that Iconics are very little additional effort when done with the race, thus we should see race/Iconic combos released at the same time. Apparently, it is more work to create an iconic from a race that already exists (like they did with Sun Elf, Shadar Kai, BF, and PDK). At least that's what I've heard.

I'm more interested in what the Iconic Dragonborn starting class will be. I know the smart money is on Barbarian or Sorceror. But, I'd like to know before doing doing TR's on characters that may need the class past life feats. (ex. I have a character that has all of his fighter PL's, but needs his PDK PL's. If the class is sorc, then all his barb PLs will be done as a PDK. Otherwise his Barb lives will be Dragonborn and I'll save the PDK lives for Bard + others.)

If they follow the FR explaination for the race, then I'd say Paladin is a safe bet even with Bladeforge existing. Though it might be a Sorcerer with a more updated 'EK' racial tree that gives them the option to play a melee build with paladin themed bits.

I think what he was saying was that is is not much extra work to put in an iconic at the same time as a new base race vs the amount of effort to make an iconic for an already existing race (like say dwarf or drop). So it is more cost effective ice for them to do race + iconic sets vs just adding iconic to the races we already have.

Between strong racial stats, scaling breath weapons doing multiple damage types at once, natural attacks and ludicrous racial prestige feats that broke game play, the only thing keeping a Dragonborked in check was a tyrannical DM. Or a stupid player who didn't read the splat books.
