Jak, if you're not a fan of pure RNG, this is not the game for you.
Even crafting has a large element of randomness.
Loving SSF mode, by the way (cracked the top 10K on the ladder!

) and the new league is a great time to start playing, it's basically customizable versions of all previous leagues at once.
i never thought i was p2w guy until i played PoE. it is( was when i played) impossible to circumvent any grind and as a result you depended on RNG or you buy items from the chinese for hundreds of dollars, which i found unacceptable. I was working a nice build whos name i cant remember and it used some fuckin rare axe i also cannot remember. i was never able to acquire the axe in game, and chnks wanted like 300 for it at the time. the inability to complete my build that depended on gear kinda just made me leave the game.
every now and then i log on cause someone i know starts playing and i walk around the town i saved in, look in my banks, and then log off- not unlike ddo. life is short and i really dont like games where goal completion depends on rng and nothing else. at least in ddo i know that xp is there waiting as long as i am willing to spend the time. PoE wouldnt give me the hot shit i wanted i was stuck a tier below and didnt wanna invest years collecting orbs- not to trade 327547263 for a axe, nor to craft onto items 423874983 times and still get 4 links on 6 slot armors
PoE was sick but i left for the reasons above and doubt id ever attempt to relearn it
if u havent played it you should try it
