So today I logged in and saw Eth was no longer in guild...

...however I soon realized that this was a Developer Clone being transferred to a test server. He was in guild at that moment and not online. Torc wanted to play his build?

The R4 RSO finally got them to take a look at wolves...
Sorry guys. When ETH plays something then he ruins it for everyone!!!  Cheesy

He said they had copied his toon previously during DOJ.

Is his 12 monk/6 ranger/2 druid actually that strong?

I figured using henshin cores and other monk goodies could be good but figured at most it was a 10-15% boost from the traditional 10 druid/6 ranger/4 fighter?

Glad they are looking at wolves though - hopefully they find a compromise that doesn't nerf wolves into the ground. I know several players who would quit over it.

if not, then it might just be someone who had that name on another server and transferred.

I know that would give you less of an attention whore/I have famous friends chub, but infinitely more likely.

Um that would be a pretty big coincidence:

Same exact split that eth is using and race (which very few if any other people are running atm). On the same server.
In addition, the fact that the toon is guildless is also a really good indicator that its not a real player's toon.

Eth must be the new Axer.  He was sure that his DPS was so beast the devs were nerfing him specifically, too.

It was announced months ago that they would be nerfing wolf builds. It was one of the reasons I TRed out of it. That and racial TRing.

It would be a shame to NERF wolves at this point.  They have been mostly the same for so long, (5 years?) that they are ingrained in DDO now.

Wish our server had so much drama..
We lost most of our interesting people due to permas/boredom.

Wolf nerf sucks, although plife is somewhat ok when you charm.

I remember grouping with him a few times. Super well prepared and picky to a painful degree. If you could've shared photos in game chat he probably would have asked for a screenshot of your spell book.

Yeah, I'm sure they won't really screw with the sploit wolves.  They've been that way for a long time just like Human's and Half-Elf's dual boost option... oh, nevermind.

It's not like wolves are even OP anymore, all the other top tier DPS builds have caught up with them. Nerfing them now is nuts.

I dunno about that.  Wolves still own any time tests i've ever seen and real in game action too for melees.  My personal experience is that they are still far ahead of the other best melee DPS builds and it's not even close.  The only issue I have with them is that they tend to be glass cannons.  Low on HP, low on defenses. 

If you have strong CC or tanking, though, they are great.
