Request: Barbarian for reaper difficulty

Are barbarians doing well on reaper difficulty? Since mobs hit alot harder and the self-healing its nearly none... I got a toon completionist who i'm about to start farming some racial PL's, but i have no idea wich class should i play, WARLOCKs are a safe choice, but i really enjoy playng meele.

I did OK solo with one through heroics.  Much better with a (parked) hire as insurance.  Think a paladin would have fared better.

Understood.... hmm im considering a mix between barb and something else not sure just yet, i was checking the enchants and barbarians can kick in with nearly everyclass, like for example a 15 barb/5 arti - can go really well, but like i said still working on it.

I was on a barbarian life when Reaper dropped. It did fine. Blood strength is still worth it. Like Toke said park a hire for insurance.

If you're doing the combined reaper and racial PL cycle and aren't worried about the capstone, instead of going pure, I'd go 1 barb, 1 fighter, 11 barb, 1 fighter, finish as barb. Wear heavy armor. You get Blood Strength delayed by one level and it heals for slightly less, but the fighter levels make up for losing the human bonus feat and let you grab GTHF and completionist earlier.
  
Instant asshole. Just add alcohol.

Need some dodge and mobility on that build. 😉


Seriously tho, a barb is a crazy fast heroic class.   Even on reaper.  Maybe not first life but if you have a few weapons and gear you will be one and two shorting even in reaper for the majority of the time.

I would say good luck

blood strength et al may be fine for heroics, once you try epic reaper or even something like the new legendary raid where you are not killing something every three swings, blood strength just does not keep up.

Did you see the part where he is looking for the build so he can farm racial PL's?  Why would he be running epics or the new raid?

Why switch servers fur? Check the channel chats, reaper is always being run. Even a third of the lfmz are reaper now
