	Anyone played? I notice the starter pack is on sale and have heard genuinely good things. Have also heard however that it's super grindy and not very conducive to "filthy casuals"

	I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

	i read is very grindy, but every mmo seems to be. either grind or bust out credit card and grind less.� havent tried ff yet. currently on few other games. but def gonna buy it and fuck around sometime soon

	Well we all know there's grind and then there's "dick in a pencil sharpener". I don't mind a bit of a grind so long as there is a decent pace for progression. I also read recently that unless you are a super hardcore player you'll never be able to afford a house, which itself is kind of sad. But what are you gonna do?

	I never got out of the starter area. I booted it up and started doing boring, grindy missions. Uninstalled after 10 levels or something...

	Honestly Starforge was way fucking better. Cooler story, universe, and combat. I have a buddy that sunk about 200 hours into both respectively. Think he stills plays FFXIV once in a while, but he's an mmo jumping fiend.

	Eh, no interest in sci-fi MMOs. Think I'll give FFXIV a go if they have a free trial. If you have to pay to even experience the game then fuck it.

	Fuck FFXV. Apparently they think all you want to do is talk to NPCs. After the endless character creation process I was confined to a single square and was not allowed to leave according to some NPC dialogue that was so boring I couldn't actually look at the text box without falling asleep.

	Played FF14 for years. Only bits that are grindy are Crafting (duh) and Relic Weapons. Otherwise, just enjoy literally the best story of any mmo out there.
