Good luck fighting bosses without debuffs , even with superb deeps party. Dust is awesome.
Vulnerability + dust + rebuke + ass trick + hunter mark + jade strike + suffering/ooze + lock tainted.
Cracking attack, shattering strike, shattered device ( fuck if i know if it works )

Salt, idk. Maybe if your caster sucks. But then you will get fucked either way in one of those pulls.

This sums up how to play Tempest. You can confortably charge on packs of mobs with Flow + Nightshard. Dire charge and DoD + plus all the clickies and you are the off-ccer + main dps of the group.

I put sentient gem on Flow, Nightshard offhand and this is my main set up. (+ slot Deconstructor on both and something else you like)

I also use affirmation off hand for quick switch to get those 1k hp when cc/heals are not that great or if quest requires. Dual Vulkoor's with good for when DR breaking is needed. Broccoli and Celestia for specific situations. Beacons for skellies. Dust for boss if you have materials to burn. Soulrazor for fun. New scimitar to be tested, but I guess will be another boss beater.

Nightshard only works on the same weapon unlike guardbreaker which affects BOTH weapons and daze is better than salt so there is no need to go full retard and use them both if you can get more dps from vulkoors edge. It is more than just a dr breaker mind you.

If you're going with Scion of the Ethereal Plane, then slot Diamond of Skill: Hide +15 and create triple AEM LGS belt for +39 DEX skills.  About the same HP as INS CON +7 once you slot a +2 INS CON augment.

Ins diversion is better than nothing and always helps if you don't want aggro (tempests really need that), certainly better than spell resis. Piston boots for a dex build would make no sense for only 5 mp. You don't want to waste a slot for that shit because you get much more from sl and cc. I replaced ins int on the trinket with ins combat mastery and QCon with QDex on the boots 

btw t1 lgs won't stack with hide (competence) and you are forgetting parry from the cc belt

It is really good for Dexterity based builds. Only one problem that it has is that the Glass Shard proc will not tick for damage while it is being stacked. So you have to swap it out to get the damage ticks.

Tempests are still in a great spot right now. I have pushed a first life as far as it can go in terms of balancing survival and dps. With 47 reaper points, and Sharn gear, I am at : 220 PRR, 90 MRR, 94 Dex, 2500~ HP. And the absolute fastest time I recorded was 22.9 seconds. Measuring the dps at 21.8k peak and 20k average. Seeing as we are pretty much not getting any more crazy gear any time soon, then the dps won't be shooting up any higher until a new expansion. Or we get another artifact-type item.

I don't think it is possible to push that time down much lower. Especially not with the fate points that character has ( zero Epic Past Lives ). Consecrate twists would increase the kobold time, but I can't afford the twists. I have Symmetric/Meld/Cocoon/Sheath currently. Swapping Symmetric for Sense outside of raids.
