FVS or Cleric for end game?

Hey guys,

Any suggestion on which is better for end game, Legendary Elite or Reaper or whatever difficulty. Being able to solo low level reaper would be nice, but not essential.

IMO FVS.  Just from my experience, had better casting speed, SPs and DCs on FVS.  YMMV since didn't have the cleric patrons yet when ai did it.

I think the advantage of cleric is really in the undead content when you can turn. That’s not really the case in high end epics. A fvs has more mana, faster casting Choice of charisma or wisdom, vs not survival on a cleric

Has anyone tried using Deep Gnome as their race for a fvs build?

If so, how successful was it?

btw...FVS, Wizard, Cleric, Bard, Warlock, Druid all cast @ the same speed.

Only Sorcerer has faster casting time.

Cleric vs FVS is a tough choice.  I enjoy both equally well. 

I did a Deep Gnome 1Wiz/1Barb/18FVS Wisdom based Evoker and it was OK for EE/R1 solo right when Reaper was introduced.   Standard Fair  SPen, GSPen, SFEvo, Heighten, Quicken, Completionist, Maximise, Emp.

your basically shooting your foot if you don't go aasimar with fvs...arcanum, healing hands, hp boost, etc.
