true, but at this point I will take it! I mean, it's ssg here, so...
They very obviously did this solely for how underwhelming Whelm and Soulrazor were. At least we get a number of builds out of this.

When soloing, Calamity still pulls ahead due to vacuum. 20% damage is just such a powerful buff that it beats the 2 dice and razor stacks by a wide margin. Don't feed those badboys to your gems just yet!

I think horc and scourge are still the racial choices but elf dwarf and gnome lines that link with these weapons are interesting. And it brings the pdk charisma stat change into play for some unique builds. These are also deity weapons.
Quite a few builds improved or are now suddenly viable end game due to the dps increase. A max qp monk/pdk using Razors, wisdom based, cha secondary. Dwarf con based barb dual wielding Whelms. Strength based tempests with Razor and Whelm. DPS increase for swf and twf fighter and barbs. There are probably a few more I missed, though this is enough for me to consider the feat good.
Heroic weapons improved. Phosphor and Coronation, the age of rage Beacons, and the Banhammer all become much better now.
