This one almost good. Now drop useless stalwart defender (and no, you cant have hp with light armor), switch defilic to law or chaos and its gonna be near optimal. Gearset debateful also. You are not using ratcatcher at 29+, personally me having a lot of rl mythic reaper stuff, so sharn set + mists set resulting much more firepower. Holy burst raid trinket is just superb for any ranged build.
I cant see a point to wear all the lgs stuff while loosing dps from rp and deception stuff. If you are taking damage on ranged toon you are playing it wrong anyway.
Finally, I dont get why you love artificer that much, obvious optimal main class is rogue. 17-2-1 either barbarian (move speed) or ftr (extra feat) is way to do r10 dps. Overall, just try to roll one of your build and measure dps. You'll find out quickly where are you loosing it and how to improve

Go 18 arti 2 whatever, monk, ftr or rogue (or even barb). 41 inq 31 be, rest whatever (prob 8 harper), if you go monk or rogue take those levels after 15 arti cause of ips. On epics play in ld, twist meld, cocoon, stay frosty. If you do all right you'll kill everything faster than they have a chance to hit you on lower skulls while leveling, and for nasty champs and bosses you have meld. Be offers not only way better dps but prr and mrr for cores you take without gimping toon. Finally with 18 arti you have both deadly AND reconstruct so may roll wf or construct essence if you want it that bad

After 15, just because of IPS. If you dont care to get IPS at 18 you may start with 2 rogue levels for extra skills and early evasion, in long terms its more optimal, but I wouldnt run myself those 3 levels without it.

How do you gear your inquisitives at cap?

Weapon: Morninglord's or Nightshade?
I am using Nightshade because I pulled it and it's BtA, so if I slap some filigree into it, I can reuse the weapon for different characters.
(LGS is out of reach for me)
(I am not interested in swapping in Volley or stuff like that)

Obviously, Legendary Wallwatch set:

Head: Tendon Slice, Accuracy, Reflex, Doubleshot
Glove: Lesser Displace, Dodge, NA, Diversion
Armor: Fort, PRR, Heal amp, False life
(Raid hat is out of reach for me)

Then I thought it would be a good idea to fit in 5 piece Adherents, so I am using

Trinket (R): Holy Burst, TS, Con 20, Improved Deception
Cloak: 19 + 4 INT, Wizardry, (Evo Focus)
Belt: Vistani: Vitality, Deadly
Rune Arm: Immunity to Fear, Fire resist 76, Tira's Splendor
Ring: Nightfall: 9 INT, Insightful Deadly, (Reflex), (PRR)
Bracers: 9 CON, 12 qPRR, (19 str), (Stunning)

Wrapping this up, aka random collection of gear that has some useful attributes:
Neck: Sigil: MRR, Prot, Spell saves, Parrying
Boots: Knife Toed: Armor-Piercing, Quality Seeker
Epic Ring of the Stalker: Deception+Insightful, Ghostly, Manslayer, Seeker <= this is a surprisingly good fit, if only there was an endgame version of it.
Goggle: ARTIFACT ir'Kesslan: Dex 22, (Dodge 22), (Parry), Neg.Abs (kinda free slot)


Also, I don't have a the blunted ammunition quiver, so I should get to work on that.

Also, what filigrees should I use? I don't have full sentient jewels, what would be the priorities?

Its hard to write about gear for me cause I forgot vault login/password and can post only from phone :/ yet for now I also use mists set just because I have many parts mythic ans reaper giving me total around 20-25 rp. When I get better sharn gear Ill prob drop it. I use same trinket, invisible cloack, int minor artifact, and WPM googles for extra action boosts. Rest dont remember.

For filgrees there are 3 sets, 2 of which you should use, deadly rain and 2 new ones, one with 5 ds and second with 50rp buff on uncanny. For me it feels like deadly rain essentional on inq, cause action boosts is your dps, bread and butter. Rest two is thr choice. Between burst dps and sustaining, so up to you.

For weapon until they give us one with vuln I use nightmom. I tested morninglord, mom and sharn ones: they all are pretty equal, so I just find evil dr more handy

so just to understand the build. you use for the inquisitor as a weapon Ratcatcher all the way up to 30 because of the crit profil?

At lvl 20 my inquisitor on live has a +91 mod, and an additional +1W due to twisting dance of flowers, and an additional 15 seeker. Plus it is going to have another +1W from combat archery, and +19-20x2 from ED and OC.

But then the math gets even fuzzier because a diplomancer or cormyrian crossbow or Storm also can be sentient with 45 RP scaling sneak and law damage.

I think the net result is the sentient weapon wins, by about 15%. Also don't use LGS at 28+ use slavers and RL/Sharn gear.

The new crossbow from the shitty new pack looks good.  Improved Destruction plus a zillion attacks per second equals lots of Improved Destruction.

I'm not good with the analysis, so I don't know if it beats the Ravenloft or Sharn default crossbows.

Epic Storm seems like the obvious winner overall, but good luck making one ever.

well some people (including myself) farming both epic and heroic\racial lifes at once. This makes sense since epic pastlifes with first time bonuses and slayers are VERY fast to do (with mabar I do them around 2 pastlifes in 3 days without xp pots, so just stuck to tr timer lol).

Plus still wanna do some endgame, some raids or some rxp while capped before TRed. I see nothing criminal in here until you build totally usleless gimp

Was gonna comment that there was finally a build you couldn’t shit up.

Look and see a 5 pc lgs set on a ranged dps build.

You should just go con max and practice dying by tanking everything.

I'll go from stats I have on gimpish bard life I have right now.
So in shiradi its 150 RP out of reaper
+85 mod (and +15 from KTA), so 100
Ok let us twist [w] sutff so also so +2.3[w] from passives (guild buff also)
Let us talk about level 25 so you have both combat arcery and OC so we take lvl 25 diplomancer (you really want to beat ratcahter, right?)

Lvl 25 diplomancer over ratcatcher has: 2.5[1d8] base vs 1.5[1d8]
+7 enchantment over +4
5d8 bleed and 5d6 force on hit

Let us say we have +15 seeker just because you said this number.
Also sentient gives you your 45 rp and say +5 to damage, whatever.

base ratcatcher damage 3.8[1d8]+100 = 117, seeker damage 132
miss 1, x1 on 2-13 x4 on 14-18 (with seeker), x6 19-20 (with seeker)
so its (132x6x2 + 132x4x5 + 12x117)/20 = 281.4 avg dmg per shot

Adding my ranged power will result 703.5 avarage damage per bolt.

lvl 25 diplomancer base damage 4.8[1d8]+108=129.5
miss 1, x1 on 2-15, x3 on 16-18, x5 on 19-20 with 15 seeker.
so its (144.5x5x2 + 144,5x3x2 + 14x129,5)/20 = 228 abg damage per shot.

With ranged power of 195 it will be 672,3 avarage damage per bolt.

31 damage diffrence wins ratcatcher.

Feel it yet? Law damage your say, fine.

14d8 law damage it is, avarage 63. So its 157.5 damage against 185.85, 28 damage difference which is not cover base dps diffrence.

Force and bleed damage covers it on elite, its total 40 onhit damage per bolt.

But let us be honest. Is it worth to win 20 damage on nonreaper? :-D

Morethan this:
1) if you get better mod ratcatcher will win further.
2) if you go reaper ratcatcher will win further
3) if you go LD and\or just get better RP ratcatcher will win further
4) if you get more dices ratcatcher will win further (cause until 29 all weapon got same base dices lol)
5) if you get more seeker (and I do), ratcatcher.. surprise! will win further.

The only real weapon that can beat ratcatcher in any case (with sentient gem in it) is epic storm, but again, its not worth time to farm and feed it. Math, people. It was in school, you know.
