My mediocre fire nuker is strong up to R7 so far and I'm not even close to optimal.   Has anyone figured out the ideal setup for a capped fire-nuker?

Is ash stacking to 3? Wiki is listing it bugged but fuck if that page has been updated since shroud came out.

Yes ash only stacks to 3...dumb because dust stacks to 5 but whatever. It does function though, important part of my raid rotation. I am considering crafting an ooze wep so I don’t have to melee to apply suffering, especially since shattered weapon doesn’t even work

I don't like Hruit's. It requires heavy armor, so that gimps your dodge and gives you a PITA having to keep ASF reduction slotted constantly. Also the set bonus itself is inferior for a sorc in most ways. I guess it's the only way to get 10% artifact bonus to cold crit chance though.

Anyway, I'm going esoteric, and water savant is still best even without 10% artifact bonus to cold crit, because there is no equivalent for other elements to Greater Water Elemental Form on The Reflection of Wave:

"While in Water Elemental Form (Druid and Sorcerer both count for this), you benefit from 50 Exceptional Cold Spell Power, 20% Exceptional Cold Spell Lore, and you have 5 additional maximum/current Cold Spell caster levels"

Meh. Fire/acid has an advantage in clearing trash faster with fireball/acid blast from level 6-9. That's about it.
