Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocation of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

That’s cool!   I really enjoyed kingmaker.

Saw this on that same site:

Interesting as well.

Looking forward to the release.

P.S.  They need some stretch goals.   They can easily double their current number.

They do. Their next stretch goal is another companion - Woljif Jefto who is a Tiefling rogue that I guess can be in your party.

That's not all that cool, though They should announce all their stretch goals at once instead of one after another goal is reached.

So they reached their "Thiefling" stretch goal.

The next one ($575K) is implementing Mounted (any kind of mount, even on a Mastodon) Combat and adding the Cavalier class.

That's more interesting.   I like that one.  I'm sure they will get there.  it's only $100k away.   They got to $475k in 2 days.

EDIT:  Already at $543k.   Might as well start figuring out the next one.

They’re at over $917K now with several stretch goals reached. Their next stretch goal is the Skald class.

FYI...this is more money than they raised for Kingmaker and there’s 29 days left to go!

That’s awesome.   Now that they have the engine worked out And the framework for classes and progression and quest chaining and all they should be able to create amazing content pretty smoothly.

How well did they get the bugs worked out of Kingmaker? I'm considering backing this, but buggy games bug the crap out of me, and I heard Kingmaker had it bad.

I don't care if it's not perfect out of the gate, but did they go back and fix Kingmaker or did they pull a DDO and let it languish with the bugs and design flaws that dominated reviews when it came out?

It's amazing how well they are doing, they're already at $975K, here's hoping they do it justice

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

The bugs have been pretty well resolved at this point.   I can't think of any that remain, off the top of my head.

They made the Skald stretch goal ($985K) and are currently sitting at just over $1 Million.

Their next stretch goal is $1.035 Million which will allow them to have all the musical themes performed by a symphony orchestra. Nice, but certainly wouldn't motivate me to contribute any further to the kickstarter.

They hit the "more Archetypes" stretch goal at $1.195 Million.

Their next stretch goal is the Oread race - think Earth Elemental equivalent to Aasimar. That goal is $1.390 Million which is quite a step up in funding just to reach one stretch goal.

I think they'll make it but I wonder if they'll get past $1.5 Million? It seems like they're running out of steam.

22 days left to go in their Kickstarter campaign, btw.

14 hours to go and they're at $1.895 Million. Just $25k short of their next stretch goal.

It's been crazy.  They didn't run out of steam like I thought they would.  I know that Kickstarter takes a good portion of the raised funds, but this is still really impressive.

Looks like it's picking up. Only $10k to go to get to the next stretch goal, now.

At that rate, they might even be able to the stretch goal after this one, assuming it's modest.

Getting to $2 Million would be kinda cool.

Oh wow. They reached their next stretch goal - $1.96 Million.

The $2 Million goal is a BIG one...an intelligent weapon mini-companion!

8 hours left to go!

That hunter class and dino pet would have been nice to get.  Oh well.   They did amazing.   That’s way more money that I think anyone would have guessed they’d raise.   But they made a really fun first game and earned the trust of the players.

This campaign made almost SEVEN TIMES what they had originally asked for. Earned the players' trust, indeed!

Let's see how much capital this WotR project attracts. The Kickstarter results bode well, I think. Maybe they'll attract enough investment to add the Hunter and Dinos anyway.

We'll see.
