It seems like a small thing, but it's driving me nuts.

Some of my characters have inconsistent movement speed from instance to instance. It's most obvious on the Sorcerer. He always has the Quiver of Alacrity equipped (30% Striding), but...it doesn't reliably apply? When it's bugged out like that, I can cast Haste and even that doesn't help. Seems like the only way to fix it is unequip and reequip the quiver. Which is a pain.

Has anyone else seen this? Do you have a better workaround?

Get a second quiver from House D vendor. Put them both on your hotbar. When your run speed gets messed up just click on the House D quiver and then click back on your Quiver of Alacrity. Makes switching so much faster.

Doesn't it open the quiver as a bag when you use it from the hotbar?

Hmmm...I don't know. It would be inexpensive to test, though.

Last I tried it did open the quiver, yes.

I'd been wondering what had been going on with run speed, I've been getting the same. Thanks, I'll know what to do now.

Can't edit, forum bug. Yes, it just opens the quiver.

Even one that's not equipped in the quiver slot?

Yeah I clicked the two I have on my ranged char's bar and both opened the quiver contents. However, they were dragged there a long time ago so perhaps they would work differently if dragged there again from inventory today? I've been away a good while. I'll check later.

It's always been the problem with quivers. Well at least since 09 as far as I remember.

Yeah I dragged them back on and checked again, it definitely just opens the quiver's content UI.

It seems like another case of quiver enchantments being unreliable. Has anyone had this problem that is not using the Quiver of Alacrity?

I suspect I have not noticed it on other characters because they typically use Speed items where the sorc has caster boots.

Yeah on my ranged character I ditched the Abbot quiver for something with DPS effects. Once I read above about it being quivers I realised that character doesn't have any problems, only my main who uses it as primary source of run speed unless Haste is active.

I'm also noticing a discrepancy between run speed with and without ship buffs in quests. (Ship buffed is slightly faster.)

One of the ship buffs gives a move speed bonus, but it's only supposed to apply in public areas, right?

That's my understanding.

I too noticed that this toon was slower than previous lives.

For what is worth im on a sorc, and even with haste it seems way slower than normal. I dont have the quiver on it and its not caused by overburden.

Started noticing it roughly about end of january- start of february.

Back when they introduced new ships and ship buffs, 40% public run speed worked in quests too.
It was fixed a while back, maybe it came back this update?
