Bound/Grim fate twist

When you twist Bound Fate, what stat/skill controls how many charges is has.  I was thinking it was perform, as it uses that as a DC, which I stupidly didn’t put one pint into this life.  But before I TR to change it, I wanted to see if this was the issue as to why I am getting no charges when twisting these.

I tried reign for comparison and it worked.  The major difference is that is a buff where the other is offensive/curse.  I also tried shutting off stances etc to see if that changed anything but nada so far.

Is this something that is very obvious and doesn’t warrant an answer?  I’m not denying it.  Is more info needed?  Any links you can point me to?

Pretty sure the revamped version of Bound Fate has no charges. Although I haven't been playing in a few months.

Yeah, that’s what I believed.  But when I twisted it and put it on the hot bar, it has a small zero in the charge corner number, and says I have no charges when attempting to use it.  So if it’s not supposed to have charges, it still seems to.

Before they removed the charges, what controlled how many charges You get?

So I spent 5-10 minutes in the shop tavern.  Then to be sure I went to the tavern in Borovia and did the same but still nothing.  I was really hoping that this would do it. 

So, I made the Fatesinger ED active and then it finally showed 15 charges.  So I switched back out of the Fatesinger to my regular and rested it out on some scary borovia slayer mobs.  It worked!  Thanks for helping me figure this out.  I never used this tree since I TR’d.
