Whats pretty decent/survivable/fun on a first lifer/no tomes?
I know my alt-stable is already huge, but thanks to certain windfalls recently its really easy for me to get another alt to the parts of the game I actually like.
I currently have:
*Sword'n'Board Paladin(he doesn't get out much though as he's my crafter)
*Fire Sorc
*Elec Sorc(though he is completely gearless atm)
*EK Wizard(pure)
*EK Wizard(barb splash)
*Barb
*Fvs
*Ice Bard
*Fighter(bladeforged, self-healing with reconstruct SLA ftw)
*Rogue
After following headmeats thread part of me wants to role a bladeforged iconic paladin and go balls deep into thf.
I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

That's what I would recommend.

The pally seems a really good blend of dps, self-heals, defense, and tactics. I'm pretty happy with it. I can't compare the bear. My main druid experience was a Wolf (druid/barb/cleric) maul build. That dps was awesome, but it was single-target. The pally is a better balance with more AOE and defense. So, I like it better.

Like every group, there are schlubs and there are stars, and a lot in between. Pick your cause and I can say the same thing about the associated group.

Started on the pally this morning, already lvl 20 and an officer in a guild!(i mean, its my solo guild and I ate a rock, so technically all I've done so far is throw away about 50 cosmetics...)
Which sharn set is going to fit a BF pally best I wonder?
Yeah I could never get in to druids. No idea why. I just couldn't ever enjoy them for some reason. I know, it's weird.

LR resets stone usage, yeah? So like I could use 2 regular epic stones in a life by LRing in between?

Yes.
Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.
We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocation of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

Hot damn.
Yeah for various reasons I ended up with a whole lot of Heroic boxes and and whole lot of epic ones, but not that many improved epics(comparatively). I am absolutely fucking fine with this because late epics is my favorite part of the game and I tots don't mind starting at 25 or so, but I don't want to blow an improved rock on an alt.
However... each alt comes ready equipped with a free lesser heart...

All melee characters should be using the family set 15-30.

Shoot... different character is already using it. Ah well. Fortunately Part of the Family drops all its pieces from quests I could run all day long(and have).

I guess there are some exceptions.
Scourge tempest would be one. They are better off with Silent Avenger + Heavy Warfare rather than Part of the Family.

True tanks should probably be using the Guardian of the Gates set.

I wouldn't call a tank a melee character, but okay, technically.
