Best caster ATM (?) Help me play a build for a week and enjoy the new content

Currently I have a level 30 sorc that was last played when soul splitter came out. It was Ice spec'd back for when that staff was giving more than it was supposed to.

I'd prefer to play a nuker, but if they are dead in medium to high reaper content then I can just go DCs I suppose.

Definitely dead.

Let's put it this way - I play a fire nuker. Prior to all this nerfing shit, I could generally walk around a corner and annihilate an entire group of mobs with a single meteor swarm on R1. Now I have to go full alpha-strike on trash. That's on R1. Sorcs are definitely dead as far as nuking in higher skulls.
  
I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

Well the Draconic ED has a new effect where your spells get a 25% chance to deal a ton of bonus damage - but so far as I can tell its applied to the whole spell. So Scorching Ray for example doesn't get multiple chances to proc. Shiradi might be easier to get into now with all the changes, but hard to say if it got any new toys.

You couldn't be more wrong. I ran in a group of nukers earlier today, r10s as fast as the alchemist heyday.

Pick up a new game or knitting or something.

Something odd happened last night - So after U51 hit I went re-geared, after putting on some basic feywild stuff I was up to about 1800 hit points. Then last night I went and did an ETR; somehow I lost 300HP as part of the re-build. Sitting back at 30 now missing 300hp and 4 cha. I probably just fucked up somewhere in the build but god damn.

Fair, deleted. I'll air on the side of caution. There's a lot more to it though - I didn't start talking about broken gear interactions, how cooldowns interact with certain on spell applications, etc.
