Thank you Devs for Update 55.4
Thank you for taking into considering player feedback and making changes and fixing bugs on Hounds in U55.4. Quick action by the Development team on these issues is much appreciated. The overall game experience has been much improved. 10 out of 10.

Bug fixes with hounds good. More hounds nerfs are just sad
---
Making an NPC act the way it was intended is not nerfing. There was one patch where the hounds were fixed.
---
Quote:Glad to hear the fixes have improved things! We've had one patch since the season started (55.4), and it only contained bugfixes. Some of those fixes may have made the Hounds slightly easier in regular play
---
FYI Held off on swimming quest in the lv 8 Shadow Crypt area
until the patch.
I was on Bear Druid with 450+ HP running solo with a hire.
Half way thru got a fire
hound under water. The hound ticked off for 15, 20, 40....maybe another tick before I could get out of the water.

the DOT not stacking on everyone is a nerf for sure.
---
Quote:In yesterday's patch, I think the thing you may be referring to is the fix where the DOT/Vulnerability takes slightly longer to start up because it waits to start until the Hound is actually attackable. I could see seeing that as a nerf, especially if your party is coordinated enough to kill the Hound quickly after it becomes attackable. That said, it's not intended as a nerf, just a bugfix.
If by "the DOT not stacking on everyone" you mean something other than that, let us know! That would sound like a bug.
I think he is referring to the dungeon wide dot/vulnerability stacks that the dogs had, until the most rescent patch. Now the dogs are more like puppies, only stacking dot/vulnerable on the person, that has aggro on the dog.
Quote:The DOT/Vulnerable should not have changed in that way; it is meant to hit the entire party. We'll investigate.
so in reality the water bug was not fixed nor the intended delay added, but a new bug was introduced where the dot is not distributed beyond the initial aggro target, thus less people are complaining about the collective hound bugs which all appear to persist beyond their patching. as per retard cordovans post, that means
the only actualized intended change from this hotfix was "
you can't hold still on Hound spawn to make a hound ignore you anymore" that is what update 55.4 gave you. surely thanks are deserved for this amazing, game changing patch! just another example of retards praising ssg for being turbine: fixing nothing and breaking more shit and once again not testing shit and having no idea how the fuck your product works. at least, in this instance, there might be an argument for thanking them for the bug giving 5/6 party members immunity from the sole feature they wanted to gate this season of hardcore with, which consequently grants 5/6 party members immunity from the bugs they completely failed to fix but are happy to be praised for fixing and reduces the potential amount of people complaining about the hounds by 83%
