Different Epic Gearing (Read 4467 times)

	As I slowly grind out my RPLs on a second character(actually its going really quick) I am starting to horn in on my final build for that character. It's going to be a mostly wizard melee EK, INT-based, with at least 2 artificer levels . My current thinking is to use KT and warhammers, and to use the Renegade Champion set(runearm, warhammer, and bracers). I'm also looking at the "Tyrannical Tinkerer" set. Probably dino bone for the minor artifact but I'm not married to it. Any other ideas? This is primarily melee but some spellcasting.

	Gonna lose several (6) Spellsword and Imbue dice by not going pure on that build. I wouldn't do that if I were you.

I played pure for a while and was honestly kind of bored with it. Then again I TR'd out of it just after the imbue change and was never balls-deep in EK. I'll have to play around with it. The big thing I'm trying to work out is weapon type, EG SWF, TWF, or THF. I've now done all 3 on this build. I liked TWF best but felt I didn't have nearly enough defense.

Probably. I didn't have anywhere close to any of that before(158 PRR, maybe 65 MRR?) but that was before I added in all the PLs. Still got a few worthwhile iconics and then I do think I'll go back to pure wizard.

	So I always make bad decisions late at night when I sit down to respec a character(the first decision: sitting down to respect a character at midnight while my sleeping pills are kicking in) BUT This time it seems to have worked out for me. I used my last +5 heart to bring the character back to 20 wizard, went THF and balls-deep into EK. Didn't quite reach 100 MRR(not sure why, thats a problem for Tomorrow Noamineo, and that guy's an asshole). But I got as far as 253 PRR in reaper, 2400ish HP, plenty of SP, and some really really good DPS(by my standards) and that's all while half asleep and still having not figured out the ideal gear set. Definitely having fun again.

	quick note here... but GL on your stuff before i digress... my friend mikalos got excellent idea this hc7 to upgrade the SM gear to epic while were dying there. so yes take that newbie lev 3 gear up to epic... saltmarsh gear is amzing!! takes 100 bales of hay per item iirc. also upgrade that sands gear... 2 pieces can be a set bonus...!! ahh can I talk about myself some more... trim the beaver gdi !! ok bbl... ill stfu.

Darcat, You are literally the best person and player on this forum, in game it was a pleasure to play with you when I did, good gear recommendation for HC too!
