Cannith Crafting is worse than all of the above because it made random-gen pointless.
Funniest part was when they did the random gen re-balance around shroud, random gen became useful for like 3 months and then they release updated cannith and ruined that.

Cannith crafting is old school MMO crafting with wayyyyy too much power built into it.
What they've had to do---in response---is basically power creep the shit out of named gear and set items by including additional affects (breaking their 4 affix rule).

If one of those dipshits had just copied POE's loot balance we wouldn't be in this mess and people wouldn't be bored AF by every new loot update.

To their credit GOMF and "curses" are a step in the right direction but there are too many retards who don't want RNG in their loot.

Simple Rules for Video Game Loot:
1. Crafting systems can have very little power and still be useful.
2. Random gen should *always* have a better potential outcome than named items.
3. Named items should provide unique effects and build enabling options---rather than strict power. In fact, they should be below the power curve because they provide "complexity progression" by enabling new synergies.
4. Vertical number progression and complexity progression through new systems are both positive.

Too many fucking mouth breathers can't get behind 4. Go play Guild Wars 2 and see how mind numbingly depressing their reward systems are. They can't have more complexity or number increases because they are tied to a retarded PVP system.

Seems like they could unite them all with Cannith Crafting. Like different items might need mats from different content. But, the base system could be united. But, that would be too smooth. Gotta have 37 alters somehow for 3000 different systems. Just so disorganized.

The fuck are you smoking? It's an item where you can craft it with cannith. That gives it so much flexibility if you get the RNG on the set bonuses you want.

If you're planning on using GOMF then you need to create 3 or 4 gear templates that you would be happy with. The dual set bonus can be BIS in different ways. Find the top 3 and then ask yourself if those would be improvements on a non-GOMF setup. If only 1 or 2 combinations would be an improvement then, personally, I wouldn't bother.

Epic GoMF for dual sets with free altar rerolls and Epic Saltmarsh set are very relevant for 20-30 levelling imho.
