I had to do mine the hard way (paste to Word, remove code, paste to here).  Hordo's crappy message boards have the same formatting problem.  Sad

What's the problem, exactly?  Most functions found on the DDO forums are available here.

Threads I've seen just pasted the spew into a code box (found here by clicking the button).  But I'm guessing there's more to this than just not being able to find the button - forum format is not universal like HTML.

There should be little tooltips that pop up over each icon to help explain what they can do.  You may need to disable some security settings (such as allowing scripts/disabling NoScript).

All kinds of fun stuff to play with

Instead of clicking on the copy to clipboard button, just select all the text and copy-paste it into the message.  If I remember right, next you have to change the colors.

OR...how about this?

Use the Forum Export button, and then when the pop-up window shows up, just highlight and copy the information in the box, then paste it into the post...it avoids the coding Ron did to make it work specifically for the DDO forums.

Oh sorry, I guess I should have put 'not an internet forum guru' disclaimer in my signature. As it happens, you can't even right click to bring up a 'copy' menu in the builder. The minutiae of text editing and formatting has never interested me in the least, so if it's not layperson simple, I ask the geeks. Thanks for your reply.

the easy way to do it is copy to the clipboard past into the forums here and delete the code and brackets at the begining and the end.

Does that screw with the color code at all?  You could just go to the DDO forums, create a post, copy clipboard into it from DDOCharGen, then instead of posting it, hit preview.  Copy that and paste in these forums.
