Warforged Light Path Monk - Yay or Nay?

I just got both Warforged and Monk as they were on sale.

Is a Warforged Monk on the Light Path considered a good type of character, or not?

What should I expect if I ever get to level 20?  (The highest I've ever gotten to in DDO so far is level 11.)

My WF Monk, Arkat, was the Original (accross ALL servers) WF Light Path monk. He was exclusively in Wind Stance at ALL times. I have since TRed him and I am considering going down the Dark Path as Touch of Death is so awesome.

I've only re-leveled him to 10th level and am in somewhat of a holding pattern. If the Devs (Eladrin) reworks the Shintao PrE in Update 7 sufficiently, I will stay Light Path and Windstance. I really like all those Mini-buffs and since he's going to be mostly Strength-based, he will do pretty good DPS.

I will say as a Light Path monk, your survivability is excellent and the divine and arcane spellcasters do indeed appreciate the spellpoint buff even in end content.

I have a WF light monk, that is rocking right now.  For shits and grins, decided to forgo stunning fist in lieu of stunning blow since my wis is low.  str, con and dex where were I put my points in.  Not sure if this is a good end-game build for the following reasons:

1 - ac is for shit, but then again end game it don't matter so much unless you go all in
2 - stunning blow v. stunning fist.  it may become painfully obvious that i fucked up by not taking fist.  reason i didn't was to see if i could get away with it, thus not having to spend points on wis

I don't play Warforged.

However, it would *seem* that a Str-based Dark Path Monk would be the most advantageous build for them.  With +2 Con, -2 Wis, you're looking at more HP and lower Monk DCs/AC.  Also, having popped over at the wiki to look at their racial enhancements (a power attack line, a +Stunning Blow DC Line), you could have a high Str Dark Path monk with Stunning Blow, ToD at... level 9, I believe?, and not worry so much about DC-based finishers.

I ran with a similar WF Monk (Distributed, Sarlona) throughout my TR's levels 4-16.  He was quite effective, and despite low AC, normally stayed alive due to his ability to kill things before they could cause him (much) damage.

There is supposed to be a re-working of the shit fest that is currently Shintao Monks that will come out with update 7.  If they actually fix it theat might be a good thing for your light path monk.  As it stands now you are better off shoving a hot poker up your ass and chopping your dick off than playing a Shintao Monk.

Of course you can make an effective WF light path (as long as you do not take shintao). And as Arkat said, the casters and Clerics/FvS do appreciate the SP buff and the healing curse is quite handy while leveling up.
