You could, but why not just bump up your charisma 6 points? I don't see why so many people are against extra umd/intim at the very least. lol Going all str and con always leaves you with like no skill points either. Skill points are cool.

Fire Shield scrolls alone are worth the points I spent on Cha/UMD.  I'm a fan.

Or, slot in Eagle's Splendor as a spell - even Disjuncted, any FvS worth playing will have enough CHA to cast a Level 2 spell.

My version:  http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=323358

Good post that went over spell selection:  http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=3544161

Crazily enough I agree with Soul on his layout.

I've also gone back and forth on the 2nd tier of AoV and think that it is probably not worth the cost, especially for this style of build.  Tier 1 is really decent for solo and really good for group play though and doesn't cost much.

Tanking comes WAY later and is pretty situational, there is almost always someone more qualified for the job.

Building to be sturdy enough to stand that level of punishment is good though.  Being able to stand next to velah/bloodplate/trash/whatever helps a lot for spell point regen, really important now that bosses have more HP.

Sneak attack, don't have epic claw yet.

Also has a yellow slot for GFL when needing the DOD.

I also differ from 99% of the population with my GS layout, but it works better for me than the traditional HP goggles and SP swap boots.

Good thing you don't have implosion, cuz it would suck.

Can you suggest a first life build that would have an Implosion that doesn't suck?

Yes.

Human 20 fvs

18 start
03 enhancements
09 6/1/2 wis items
03/2 depending on unbound sitting tomes
05 lvl

38 wisdom

Spell focus evo
greater focus evo
spell pen
greater spell pen.
item giving +2 evocation (pretty easy to get)

Then you just farm favor yugo pots and what not.

Implosion wont suck (prolly not epic raid standards), can't say for the rest of the build.

AHA!

This.
My monk splash, which is obviously missing the capstone, started with 10.
10 base
2 tome
1 AP
6 item
---------
19

Disjuncted is 13, which is enough to cast Eagle's Splendor, which brings it to 17.  7th level spells are enough for those rare times.  Just keep a Visor on hand in case, so that you can toss a DW on yourself if needed.

I gotta agree with those that say don't dump charisma.  If you want to max str and con and be a DPS master there are classes for that.  Your melee FvS is going to do solid DPS with a 16 Strength and have solid HP with a 18 base con.  That extra +1 to hit and damage is not going to be the deal breaker.  You don't need dex and you don't need wis and a minimal investment in Int will get you the skill points you need, so with a WF you can spend 10 on str, 10 on con, 2 on Int, and 10 charisma and be just fine.

WF FvS that try to max their dps all to hell and completely ignore the fact that they are also a divine casting class are dumbasses.  Try to balance it out a bit people.  It's not that fucking hard.

A WF FvS that completely dumps CHA can still get around 2600 SPs easily. Geared properly and played properly, he can DPS and/or be a good healer capable of solo healing Epic VON6.

Just because you dump CHA and spec for DPS, it doesn't preclude you from doing your healing duties when the situation calls for it.

I think my opinion is born of player choices during gameplay than during character creation.  A lack of consideration of anything other than STR and CON at creation does not necessarily mean that the player will be a non-healing tard in raids and epic.  I still like to judge each individual player on their merits and let them earn their own reputation, for better or worse.  However, just as when I see a drow ranger named xxxdrizztxxx, my initial expectations are becoming lower and lower for WF FvS.

I am not trying to invalidate the build concept or try to say it can't be done well by knowledgable, skilled players.  I'm just saying that many players see the build on the forums and implement it incorrectly.  Leaving a bad impression on everyone that has the misfortune to group with those WF FvS that refuse to heal or do so without any competence.

My thoughts on WF FvS "battleclerics":

1) It's really easy to make a WF FvS and still have enough hjealing to take care of the party.

2) WF FvS are tough as nails.

3) shitty players have finally started to notice that a WF FvS can make up for a lot of their shitty play.

I don't think that being a WF FvS will make anyone a shitty player, but I do think that WF FvS is beginning to collect shitty players just like Rangers and Fighter/Cleric or Monk/Cleric has in the past.

To answer someone's question, yes, Gawnaderp is a 34 point build (Past Life: Paladin).  I went with Sirgog's starting stats, max Str, didn't dump Cha, and still have an 18 starting Con.  She just hit level 4 today when I was playing on my laptop at lunchtime and I'm really digging her so far!

Thanks for all the tips guys, I really appreciate it!  I think I'm gonna try out the PrE and then switch out if I hate it.

Ok, so I watched the first episode and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  I looooved My Little Pony as a kid (Apple Jack was my favorite), so I admit getting a little geeked out at recognizing some of the butt pictures (wtf are those called?).  I was expecting really awful, but it really wasn't.  I may check out another episode to check it out.  I feel really dirty typing this right now and I'm pretty sure Stainer will disown me post haste.

COINCIDENCE?!

possibly

I know it's not a coincidence. But she must be up to something. She's building up my hope, waiting for me to let my guard down. Then she will wait until just the right moment when I am vulnerable and crush me.
