How can they possibly be worse than they were? Mine usually hide three rooms back and only show up after I've been punching the button for 3 min and finally cleared the mobs.

Anymore, whenever I use divine hirelings, I just keep them on total passive mode and micro-manage the shit out of them.  They're more responsive that way, so at least I have only myself to blame for screwups.

Lately I've been running mainly on my arcanes, though, so my usage has dropped to near zero -- the exceptions being when some lame PUGer has to have a babysitter or I want a spare SP battery on hand.

Micromanaging my cleric hireling didn't help me yesterday. In ETK, Natasha Thorston refused to do ANYTHING at all. The follow/wait toggle worked, but she refused to heal or cast Deathward or give DV's. That was out of combat.

also, in the end of siegebreaker, parking the hire didn't work at all. at the end, at the first drop down, they run into the middle of the star door, and sorta stand there. i say sorta because they occasionally spaz and run around on the star. pull em off the star and hit the park button, and they RESET. as in flicker out of existence for a moment, then they're back, then they run to the middle of the d*** puzzle again. 

and of course i can't bug report it... because that's turned off.... 

I keep seeing complaints about hirelings.  Well all I have to say is - if you had unlimited sp and noone appreciated you and you never got any loot... would you give a fuck about your party members? Think about, no you most certainly would not.  Sure, you can get end rewards, raid completions, loot, upgrade gear...  What do they get? Some shit gold for following your sorry unappreciative ass around.

She was on passive, I didn't want her to run into the final fight to die within seconds. After finishing the fight with heal scrolls, I switched her stances and tried all kinds of things, she just didn't respond.

I just usually find it more entertaining than anything else.

Confirming hirelings have gone uber-herp. Even had mine last night on passive and stand your ground and she decided to run off and stand in a trap until she died.
