I noticed that too but assumed he liked playing the catcher role.

Oh you're in for a treat! I have a huge lack of respect for almost all drama I've seen... well, most non-comedy tv really, but The Wire had me absolutely hooked (although it tailed off a bit in the final season for me).

Peep Show is one of my favourite comedies, though there are many to be honest. It has the lovely familiarity of nerdish humour (Mark's heard thoughts are just amazing), depth of character, plots developing naturally from small things, etc. that you both cite as positives of the shows you like above.

It sounds pretty good.  Makes me think about British sitcoms that haven't gotten a lot of play over here, so I must ask if you've seen No Heroics.  It's such a tragedy that it only got the one series, especially since a series over there is so fucking comparatively short.

I have heard so much good shit about the Wire.  It was actually Obama who was the final straw in the huge number of recommendations that I've had to watch it.  Apparently he thinks Omar is the best character.  Tongue

It's set in the city I live in, and they filmed it here too. Now every time I see an RV, I assume they're driving somewhere to make meth.  Grin  Grin  Grin

You know what's a great show? The Shield.

You know what's an even BETTER show (which I didn't think was possible, tbh)? Breaking Bad.

SO FUCKING GOOD.  I just found the show fairly recently, but holy shit.  Holy fucking shit.

The last shot of Gus may be one of the greatest single shots ever.  Such an amazing show, and so fucking compelling.  Now that's some character development right there.  I don't think there are many characters who have been forced to change nearly as much as Walter White.

I want to print this post out on an airtight sticker and wrap it around your face so that I can read it and remember that the person who wrote these words is the person that I'm watching struggle and slowly suffocate to death and that I don't have to feel bad about what I've done.

Huh
I don't get it. The why mostly.

I do feel a strange urge to check on Draco from time to time to make sure he's fed with plenty if xp and watered with plenty of kobold blood - maybe Oak feels similarly about his TV characters?

About Big Bang Theory. I have noticed that Sheldon has balooned to twice his past size and his character is quickly losing it's funny querky appeal due to this enormous expansion. Giraffe jokes certainly don't work anymore.

Only thing geeky about him is his pasty hairdo. I think this will be a slow death of the series now.

Wow, you love me. There has been two big lag fixes in the past week. No, those are not going out with a hotfix. They are more wide ranging and take more time to test.
Of course every time you get like this, I keep wondering where your MMO is so I can play it. Obviously you know excatly how to piece one of these together. I can't keep apologizing a gazillion times for the back end tech and things people did on this game before I was even an employee. So one last time, yes some of the stuff from the before times sucks. Sorry about that. Yes we know, stop building new systems. Yes we know, finish the ones out there. Yes we know you hate bards.

And screw you for bringing up the laid off folks. That sucks every time. I made sure all my people landed in other jobs real quick. None of my 'casualties' are unemployed, just sadly not employed by Turbine. Every business goes through this.Even Valve has layoffs. It sucks every time. If you haven't had to do it then you just don't know. Picking people and knowing you are about to turn their life upside down is terrible, every time.
Not giving a bleep. No, I stop listening when the bile starts. Not worth my sanity. You know my rule, treat me like a human and I'll do the same back. When the rage train starts...cya.
So here is my peace out of the vault for a while. Thanks for the list Ranger, that was actually clear and helpful.

He wrote an autobiography that I read over 10 years ago.  It was called Still Hungry After All These Years or something.  I am OBSESSED with Richard Simmons.
