Cannith gets weirder

You may be familiar with the recent drama on cannith, where some guy pretended to be some girl and had some other guy give him 60+ epic scrolls and other assorted items.

After that, he spammed up trade channels and sold a bunch of the stuff at discount prices, nearly plat capping a couple of random new characters (Blackmarket and Legits). If you're like me, you may have been wondering what exactly he wanted all that platinum for, since it's kind of worthless. Now we know.

He's opening up a loan business! I shit you not. He will give you a pile of platinum, and you can pay it back with interest later. Or you can invest in this exciting business opportunity in exchange for a share of the profits. I am 100% serious, this is a real thing he is doing.

First loan is 100k max, 5% weekly interest. More favorable rates are available if you've bought from him before or for additional loans after the first is repaid. He "thought about" asking for collateral, but apparently decided not to bother. The investment is 200k for a 5% share of his profits.

I'm glad I rejoined that channel, gave me some fun stuff to read while grinding some xps.

On the real it's just an attention grab. Seems like mommy and daddy did pay enough attention to young johnny growing up and he's putting on a show and riding it for all it's worth.  Cry

I'd be lying if I said I didn't feed the fire some, but well it was funny to me, so I did.

Apparently one of the few things that would be against the rules in Eve would be scamming through impersonation so the idiot who got scammed, in this instance, would have more chance of getting his stuff back in Eve then in DDO!   Shocked

Well, he was forced to close down on his normal server a few months back.

Something about some GM telling him he couldn't do what he was doing. He had to give back all the lottery money he was holding.
