Quote:No, my providers are Fruit / vegetable producers in Spain. They have troubles understanding such terms like "Tons/hectar".
And yes, Telefonica is the megahorror, I have no words to describe that company.
Once upon a time in the wonderful world of telecoms an equipment company created an horror, called SCP-G ( Service Control Point, General Purpose Computer ) because the tailored system ( actually public exchanges with the SCP function enabled ) were not Good Enough.
5 were sold in the world before the Beast was killed. ( and it was killed outright, it went straight to end of life, customers are required to replace the Horror by a public exchange with the SCP function active, at no cost. )
4 were sold to Telefonica, 1 was sold in France, I had the Ultimate Honor to be part of the On Call team... The Beast took more than two hours for a power cycle of a Node... and during that time calls were not handled... ( and yes it had two nodes for redundancy... except that it failed at redundancy... among other things ). A call for the Beast in the evening ( say 7 PM ) meant that we wouldn't go to be before 6 AM...
When we recovered the French one, I was running in the hallways pushing the cabinet towards the truck... all my colleagues were ROFLling at seeing how fast I wanted to get rid of it.
